When Over the Hedge was in the movie theathre it was the biggest catch phrase around the house. And now that it is released on DVD, it goes between, "But I like the cookie" to "I got the coookie,I got the cookie". Please tell me that we are not the only family to go around quoting movies. LOL

I don't think we've ever said that expression, but I took my kids to see the movie. The squirrel and the coffee had us laughing so hard we were in tears because it reminded us of my wife (she's tad bit hyper)! lol

I have definatley said that! Who hasen't?? When my brothers and sisters see a commercial or watch the movie...again, everyone will be saying that for at least few days!!! Its hilarious! Have you ever used the phrase,"No eating here tonight, no eating here tonight....cause you on a diet!"That's from Finding Nemo!

Hahha, that is so cute. But dear, I have never heard that expression before this post. I would only say that if I were eating a cookie and someone asked if it were good.

I haven't used that phrase...one of my sons does, though. It's all good because he reminds me of Hammy anyway. My favorite phrases are "Mr. Grumpy gills" and "You know, I can speak whale..." LOL

You posted this long long ago... but I was searching Over the Hedge discussions. I LOVE This movie. Like... if you could be IN love with a movie it would be this movie. It's the cutest thing. I can watch it over and over and over again and I'm a 25 year old adult with no kids! I love the "but i like the cookie" phrase and I'm a total nerd who constantly quotes movies and such. I constantly talk about how something is a "moo point" and get so upset when people correct me because "moo point" is from an episode of friends! another great line from this movie... "steve's a pretty name". Your family totally isn't weird.

Thank you for sharing!!! ha ha Because that is totally my family!!! ha ha Even yesterday I was talking to my sister about her fish disappearing and she mentioned her new fish are cousins of the piranha. So I had to bust out with the line from Finding Nemo and the little girl in the dentist office saying, "I'm a piranha!" And then chomp my teeth loudly. I am so glad that my sister knew exactly what I was talking about! hehehe Which made it even more funny!

Ha ha. The year finding nemo came out in theaters it was actually on my 21st birthday. My friend and I went to Disneyworld for my birthday so we got to see the movie in Downtown Disney. After that we were quoting finding nemo all the time! I'm a huge kid at heart still and I love quoting random movies! I think the people who don't do that are weird..you know!
