Is Raw Food Better Treatment for Cancer than Chemotherapy??

I get some newsletters from nature therapists like dr Mercola and many others and the last one I read talked about how some enzymes in raw vegetables can be more efficient than chemotherapy. Many of us know that chemotherapy destroys both cancer cells and healthy cells. If we can find alternatives that only destroy cancer cells, it would be really good news. According to many doctors, who are experts in nutrition, eating a lot of vegetables prevent most of our diseases. Here is one example: http://www.dr-gonzalez.com/index.htm I have no cancer, as far as I know, but I know some who have become free from cancer by changing their diet to much more vegetables. In many cases food supplements that are made of vegetables and cold pressed oils have helped. Has any of you experience about this?

That is a very controversial question that I will not touch. However it is good to do the things that promote good health. Eating lots of fruits and vegetables is good for our health. So it good to do that and we hope that we don't get cancer. If we do, it is good to consult competent professional health practitioners and decide on the best treatment to follow.

Yes, we should take care of our healt so that we don't need to take care of our sickness, as my mom used to say. The more we know about our body and healthy food, the bigger chance we have to avoid all kinds of health problems. I have been reading your articles about a positive view of life, and they also contribute to health, as we become more aware of how much our mood means to the whole body. Let's see what more the scientists find out about the connection with health and raw food..

Well, we have the freedom of choice but there is no harm in eating raw food, as it can boost our immune system, so it may prevent many diseases.

I have been in the raw food industry for five years now and over that time I have heard many success stories from people who have cured many diseases such as cancer and diabetes which are far more common these days than they should be. Many have cured themselves just by changing their diet to an organic raw vegan one and eliminating toxic processed foods. Others have used natural remedies like hydrogen peroxide therapy, eating apricot kernels, herbs such as Herb Robert or papaya leaves to cure their cancer. I do believe that chemo kills more people than the actual cancer itself and that once the cancer has spread through the body to a certain extent that there is no way that any treatment can stop it. Whether it is natural or chemo. The cancer industry is a huge industry and unfortunately there are massive corporate profits to be made from the misfortunes of people. That is why mainstream medicine frowns upon natural healing as there are no profits to be made from people healing themselves with food that they grow themselves!

Hi, RawBill1 Nice to see someone who has heard experiences directly from people who have tested the alternatives. The edible hydrogen peroxide is hard to find for us in Sweden, but we can get organic vegetables and some kinds of fruit and juices that are raw food too, as A.Vogel does not heat their juices as far as I know. They use lactic acid as preservative. You are right there. The problem is that some efficient veg foods are so cheap that the big companies cannot make pills of them and earn a lot..but for us it is a great help to eat the raw food, so I don't mind if someone loses profit from that..

No food grade Hydrogen Peroxide in Sweden as far as I know. I live near Finland, so I can check there. Fresh smoothies must be absolutely great, especially if we can get organic fruits and veggies. Smoothies have all the fibers there too, and for many who cannot chew, they must be a way to get all the benefits. I found some info about the Vogel juices and how they are preserved. They could be an alternative if we cannot get fresh products. http://www.avogel.ca/en/shop/health_food/biotta_vegetable.php Have to check that Institute, thanks for the info.

Really? You cannot get food grade Hydrogen Peroxide easily there? I do not recommend any processed juices no matter how healthy and natural they claim to be. The only way to get maximum benefit from juice is to juice the produce yourself and drink it freshly made within the first day. Anything that is older is going to be greatly diminished in vitamins and minerals. Green juices and green smoothies are well known for helping people to cure their cancer symptoms. The Gerson Institute are famous for their work in this area.

It never hurts to eat more vegetables and fruits, but I wouldn't put my life on the line with cancer to depend solely on raw foods to cure me. I'd have to go with documented and proven methods. I do believe that eating a diet rich in vegetables and fruits can prevent many types of cancer. It's a manner of living a healthy lifestyle. We tend to turn on cancer onto ourselves with the lifestyles we live. I don't have cancer that I know of, but one of my good friends just lost her whole stomach and part of her esophagus due to having gastroesophogeal cancer. Her doctor said that it was most likely triggered by her smoking addiction. She was diagnosed near Christmastime and had her stomach and 4 inches of her esophagus removed a month ago. She is being tube fed now and has to take chemo. She is doing well so far. She will be able to eat baby foods and later will graduate to soft foods.

That sounds scaring, but maybe the operation saves her life - I just hope she quits smoking and starts living healthier. We can do so much for our own health. And if we get seriously ill, we have to choose someone who is qualified to give good advice. I guess I would start with good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle and would do a lot of research before using the conventional methods that can have many of side effecst. Well, better prevent than suffer, if possible..

I think fruits and vegetables prevents a lot of diseases like cancer. Actually eating healthy and living healthy prevents them. But I am just not sure if they can cure once the cancer has occurred. Up to now, experts are still finding the cure for cancer. I hope they find the cure by using natural resources like fruits and vegetables.

Yes, there is a lot of research going on and also progress. Earlier cancer menant that you will die for sure, but nowadays many survive and get healthy. I prefer to try and prevent diseases, if possible. There are some places on the earth where people stay healthier and live longer. One is certain places in the mountains in Ecuador, where the climate, the water and fresh food contribute to the health. One woman from that place who lived in Sweden for a few years, was surprised by how many old people here have diabetes and almost no one has it in her homeland. No wonder she and her family went back to Ecuador.

I would guess that, but at least we know they can get fresh food all the year on places with a good climate, which depends on the altitude. Some places have a really great climate all year.

So she is from Ecuador, and diabetes is a rare case in that country? Bet people there do not have sweet tooth right.

You got to look at your point in two ways, before getting cancer and after getting cancer. When you are under treatment for cancer, eating raw vegetables is no option. In fact, Chemotherapy destroys the taste buds, and the patients have no taste for food. Secondly Chemotherapy alone destroys the malignant cells in the body. For a patient not having cancer it could be an option, but the doctors' recommendations vary from time to time. Chocolates, which have been proscribed for good health, are today recommended as best anti-oxidants. Tomorrow the research may bring to light something new. No harm in trying raw vegetables. If nothing else, they provide good fiber.

Those who are on chemo could benefit from the organic juices by A.Vogel or some other company. Also food supplements can help - especially those from gnld.com that are just food. They are easy to swallow, also for those with poor appetite. Well, better eat the healthy veggies and fruits before we get sick and prevent a lot of health problems..

hni buenavida welcome back anyway I have been so lucky to avoid cancer maybe because I grew up on a farm where we raised our own veggies and fru t and ate the same then as an adult I made sure I had some veggies and fruit every day. but If I had a cancer diagnosis I would go with the medical doctors proven treatment and still be sure I had plenty of veggies and fruit every day too.

Yes, Hatley - maybe you have been eating healthy enough to keep the immunity working during many years. Yes - better prevent the health problems as far as we can and then consider what the professionls have to say if we really get sick. But let us keep the senese of humor, as it is one of the best health cures..
