I've started a vegetable garden this year. I tried last year, but it failed miserably. Didn't know what I was doing wrong at the time. Everything kept dying or not growing right (yes I watered it ;o))So I did some research online and I found a cool site called Green Thumb Gardening. They have a great book called The Vegetable Gardener's Bible. So I bought it and now I think my carrots and lettuce will grow nice and big. I don't think we are allowed to post links in a post because of spamming policy, but I did place the link in my profile if you want to check it out. There's also a cool garden dome instructions I'm thinking about getting. Will let you know if I do. Hopefully I won't botch the directions. LOL

Gardening is a learning process. I don't think anyone is safe from failure! I've grown vegetables and fruit for more years than I can remember and I still lose a crop now and then. Last year was horrible for gardening here, so I can blame that one on the weather. Good luck with your carrots and lettuce!

I have always wanted to do that. My grandmother is very good at it, and her veggies never die. I know it depends on several factors and not just one thing. It could be the soil, weather, or watering too much. I wish I knew exactly.
