With the recent IPL 5, i got this doubt. This IPL there are only less number of spectators both in stadiums and in the Television. Can this be taken as a set back for IPL T20. Is a T20 format well balanced? it does not gives time for consolidation? give your views.

I think because of too much cricket people are loosing interest in IPL, rather than going to stadium most of them must viewing IPL on television or through internet. I still like test matches and ODI than t20 format........

i agree with you we watch IPL in internet, but what has happened to rigid cricket fans who pounds the stadiums, nearby tallest buildings etc. they have certainly reduced.

For some time after the launch of the T20 format, it looked like ODIs were doomed. But if the last world cup was anything to go by, the ODIs got a lot of their past glory back. I think all three formats have a role to play in the world of cricket. The danger though is over-exposure to any single format. Cheers! Ram

Oh yeah you are right. Over exposure will pose a definite danger.

I think all three formats has their own advantages and disadvantages. I think T20 is good that it gives opportunity to all players and domestic players. I think more T20 cricket like IPL should come so that all country domestic players get opportunity.

It is a fact that this IPL has only less number of spectators. But i think there is no point in comparing T20 with one day cricket. They are extremely different format and both has its own beauty. All three formats (T20, ODI, test) of cricket need different techniq and talent. T20 is more fast and it is like a small size dynamite. It gives more entertainer for viewers.
