Hi myLotters, how would you feel when someone in facebook tag you in the photos without asking your permission before? I had just encountered it, and I didn't feel good. Well, my friend tagged me in her photos which she posted in her profile, it's a normal photo where me and some friends hanging out. Earlier, I told her to send those photos to my email, anyhow she posted the photos in facebook and tagged everyone in it. I feel that she doesn't really respect me and my privacy though. If she wants to share the photos in social website, at least she could have told me...

I don't mind, personally. I used to tag everyone on my photos too but then I heard some people don't like that . . . so now I let them tag themselves on my photos if they choose to. I know I don't particularly like it when I get tagged in a photo where I look terrible . . . like in one photo I looked particularly "plump" with what I was wearing and I looked makeupless and sweaty from a hot day. My friend should have known better than to tag me in THAT photo, but he did it anyway - so what can I say. Otherwise, I actually like it when people tag me.

I think you're so right when you let your friends to tag themselves if they prefer to; somehow, my friend did the opposite, which made me feel kind of uncomfortable.

Well, they can do that now, but before I used to tag them - just because. I didn't think I was being rude - I just thought that's what everyone did. But now I see everyone doesn't necessarily "enjoy" seeing themselves . . . so I just post my albums without tagging anyone and leave it at that.

I happened to stumble upon some old classmates of mine when I was in grade school, via an old teacher I used to have in the 8th grade, and when I checked some of his friends on his list I found alot of the people I used to go to grade school with on some of the lists of lists. On one particular person's page he didn't have it so that only his friends could see everything. I saw that he had posted old school class photos of us all. I was almost livid as he mentioned my real full name in the photo and I never wanted that photo posted anywhere, but I couldn't do anything about it as it was his photo too. This is what irks me about things like facebook and the Internet in general.

I'm not friends on FB with any of them by the way and I intend to keep it that way. I don't want them in my life ever again. My friends are my Internet friends on FB.

Some friends like to tag photos of you when you were in it. But, I have friend who always tagged her photos to me that I wasn't even in that photo. lol

it's okay if my friends would tag me photos. anyway you can change your privacy settings if you dont want those tagged photos to be approved first by you before it can be viewed by the public or your friends. in that way you can control which tagged photos you want to share and which photos you dont want to appear in your profile.

I'm only OK with it if my best friend does it-about her, I KNOW that she wouldn't post pics on which I look incredibly stupid or do a thing I wouldn't wanna share with public. If someone other does a thing like, this, I'd be a bit mad, but I wouldn't make a scene with them, unless I look really awkward in the photo.
