Honor means you do not break the word given? Let your promises? To be moral, dignified, honest?
The honor is one that obliges us to take actions, to recognize our mistakes and to suffer the consequences? Is what makes us ashamed, to go head to humility, to put aside pride and ego? Of honor, we choose to do what is right even when it was totally opposite of what we want?
Honour ... should, as you can to be a man of honor ... to be, first, a man at peace with yourself. I think.
Tell me, what is honor? And, based on the fact that there are, what value has the honor?

To me, honor is essentially doing right by yourself and doing right for others. Never really bending to the easy way and not really do something that is twisted in the attempt to rather endear yourself to others. There are times where it is rather easy to do the easy thing but to do the right thing or maybe even the honorable thing to say the least.
There are times where things are just going to be a matter of honor and it is going to be something that the right thing to do might not be the popular with with most. Naturally because there are a lot of people who are rather dishonorable out there and will not really do the thing that is right by others. The world is full of a lot of backstabbers and for some, honor is just merely a word.

Do not know if there are many amateurs today a forgotten values??, honor. Seem old, is from another century. The days of chivalry are gone. When good manners, seven years from home, the respect, forced you to a certain behavior. Were sanctioned in one way or another if you break the rules of good propriety. You were challenged to a duel, banished from the world of good if you shame. Not pick up your head in the world if the flat charge that you did something dishonorable.
Today things have changed. One who defies chivalry, which violates his honor and others, good. No one takes account of the honor. Once if you lose honor became a pariah. Today most disgraceful is regarded as a slick, a rebel, a brave resourceful. Specimen is viewed with envy, imitated his behavior. It seems normal. What to do if life has taught him so! It seems less that we live in a world of turpitude just because we gave up honor.
Thanks for response.

Honor, to be honorable. In the mob they claim to be men of honor. In reality they are nothing but liars and thieves. To really be a man of honor is to work your way up the ladder. To stick to what you promise. To be truthful and honest. Just saying it is not good enough. Honor is something that needs to be proven.

An honor is also an opportunity given to you as people value you have what it takes to do something they want from you. An honor is something that has better value on you and people because of that think highly of you, right?

For me honor is first of all to be able to look at yourself in the mirror and realize that you can look without being ashamed because you managed to stay true to yourself and loyal to your beliefs and way of seeing life, even if your opinions differ from the majority of the people, and act upon these beliefs in the social relationship. If you manage to stay true to your principles and not let others influence your attitude and style of life, you are a person of honor, and honor definitely has a high value in the eyes of those who know how to appreciate it.You can only understand the true value of honor when you meet such people, and it's impossible not to meet such people who share your principles and attitude.
