I give myself a two days break. I have summer vacation with my friends in a beach. Its really fun two days swimming vacation. I just returned home last night. I take a cool batch as my whole body is aching. My arms, my face, my back is cherry red and very painful because of sunburn. Now I ask myself is it worth it? To be honest even thought I love going to beaches I really hate sunburns and of course the tanning of the skin. How I wish we go mountain hiking and take a bath in a waterfall instead. Its more shade. lols.

The beach isn’t much my thing, to be honest, but I hate to think that you aren’t going to continue to do what you enjoy just because of a sunburn. Try to take care of yourself and put on a good, high-quality sunblock. It would be a shame for you to stop something that you truly have fun doing for such a small reason.

I have a sensitive skin. I can get rashes easily and that's why I get sunburn easily. Even just going to a mall in afternoon can get me sunburn from the open lot parking area walking toward a mall. lols.

Swimming is fun and there are a lot of ways to enjoy the beach without getting sun burnt. We have not finalized our vacation for the year yet but last year we went to batangas for a two day vacation but I didn't get the sun burn because I don't take a swim with the sun is up. What I did is just enjoy the view during the day and I only take a dip early in the morning or in the after noon just as the sun is setting down.

Night swimming! I also love night swimming. I like to swim starting 5pm until 8pm or 4am until 7am. But even if I don't take a swim when the sun is high a simple reflection of the sun ray in the sand make me already experience a sunburn. I'm like half vampire that easily get sun burn. lols.

Never mind if you got darker. At least you had fun with your friends. If you are naturally fair-skinned,your color will return to its original color. You can get back your original color but you can never bring back that good time with your friends.Things will never be the same.

That's true. Its only happens once in a blue moon so I guess its worth it. I really miss my college life. its seems I don't want time to move right now. The best memory I have is when I'm still in college. Still studying and not worrying about money. lols.

I do not like swimming under the heat of the sun. If ever I would go swimming, I would do it early morning or late in the afternoon. I also make sure I put on sunblock. I hate sunburns If you had a good and relaxing time, I think going to the beach is always worth the effort. Take care!

Me too. I really hate sunburn. Next time I want to relax I prefer to go somewhere cool like mountains or something. lols. The cooler the better. That's why I like to go in baguio or even in higher mountain tops just to survive this summer heat. I'm really frustrated right now and irritated because of this sunburn.

You could avoid the sunburn by using sunscreen (and reapplying every 4 hours or so). The tanning, that, you can't really avoid except if you're under an umbrella the whole time you're in the beach. Of course, you could also experience those when you're mountain hiking or waterfalls frolicking as long as you're exposed to the sun. The sun's the culprit. For your sunburns, I hope it's not too late, but you can soothe them by applying an aloe vera + cucumber smoothie on them. Just mix aloe vera and cucumber in a blender, blast, and apply the goopy stuff on your sunburnt skin.

Thanks for the tip. I also search the web and their many who recommend aloe vera. And I guess cucumber is also good. Yeah its the sun. That' why I really don't understand why many love to go swimming when its summer. Why not change swimming in cooler months so that the sunburn is not that bad. lols.

As for me beach is more fun, having sunburns because of the hot sun is okay because you can really feel that you are in a vacay. I love the beach very much than a pool. Choosing your destination for vacation will depend upon what is your likes. Or maybe you should try another adventure compare with your last year's summer vacation. The most important thing is you enjoy your trip/flight/vacation. Wherever you go as long as you are with your family or you are in a good company then you will enjoy.

The discomfort is not worth a while for me. If I want to have a vacation I want to go to a cool place were temperature is 15 degrees or lower. But I don't want to go place that is -5 degrees cold also. I just want to go to a cool place not a cold place. lols.

If I were to go to a beach, I would choose to swim in late afternoon or maybe at night. I'll never ever swim in the morning around 9am until around 4pm because the sun is so hot at that time. I may swim early in the morning when the sun is not yet too hot. I will choose to swim in time where I won't get tanned. You're still lucky. At least you got enough money to go to a beach with you friends. There are still a lot of people who cannot enjoy summer because they got nothing so they stay at home and get bored. So your summer vacation in beach is still worth it.

Me I prefer to take a sunrise or sunset swimming. I don't like to take swimming late at night or even after 7pm because its very dangerous. You can get drown and no one will going to notice you. that's why its always better to take a swim when theirs a light.

It's really not worth it if after swimming you experience pains, I also experienced that. It's only a nice experience especially when you're in a company of friends, but when you're at the beach and it's summer you should enjoy swimming in the morning and a little late in the afternoon, don't consume the whole day swimming otherwise you'll really regret it after. I prefer swimming at the pool than at the besch during summer.

That's true. But I don't want to be a kill joy. Beside theirs really so many who swim when the sun is hot. I guess that's the reason of it right? You go to a swimming because its hot and the best time to go to swimming is when its hot. lols. But me I prefer to go night swimming or sun down or sun rise swimming instead of noon swimming.

That's good. Me right now 70% of my back body is red hot because of sunburn I just want to return three days ago to stop myself to go to the beach. lols. Its really frustrating and painful. I like to go to beaches but I hate sunburn and I hate that my skin turn black. lols.

If you haven't put on sunblock then really the pain of getting sun burned would make you swear never to go back to the beach again. I was in Boracay last December and I stayed all day under the scorching heat of the sun, snorkling, swimming, walking down the shore. I never experienced the pain of a burnt skin. And i love the way i looked after that with tan lines.

That's good for you. I do put sunblock before but it just make worse. My skin is very sensitive that's why. And I'm an acidic type or person so sunblock has worse effect if I put it in my skin.

I did put sunscreen. Its just that my skin is naturally oily that even if I put sunscreen I still get burned. lols. I have a very sensitive skin and maybe that's the reason why I got burned easily. I'm hoping that I can make some good swimming in the beach because its only happen once in a blue moon.

some would say yes and some would say no. the mere fact that beaches are the usual spot during summer but it also depends on the persons way of finding venues to spend summer.

That's true. But I guess its just me. I mean most people who live in tropical want to live or go to cooler place while those who are in cold place love to go to tropical paradise. Do you find it ironic? lols.
