Most of us have good memories of watching cartoons when we are young. We have a lot of memories watching them, and it's fun to go back in memories in those days when there weren't much responsibilities to make and all we need to do is eat, sleep and watch cartoons. Can you share some of your memorable experiences watching cartoons?

I'm an anime fan and a manga lover. I'm still addicted to watching animation especially if the dub is the original Japanese. I'm not about to let go of my childhood anytime soon, I guess, when I became an IT student. I'm still going for my dream of producing manga and becoming an animator as well as a game developer. Noe, I don't think I'll be letting go of the child in me.

Good luck to your plans of becoming an animator! I heard being a game developer can easily make one rich. I also hope you will be able to develop a really popular game and be a great success! It's amazing how popular Japanese are in making animations. Their simply so talented in this area and I think for now no country could beat them. Anyway, what is a manga lover?

Thanks for making that clear. I think even in making comics, Japanese is still supreme. They are really gifted in making animations and comic books. My brother liked Japanese animation and when he watches Naruto, for example, he liked watching the Japanese voicing with English narration below better, because he said the original Japanese dubbing gives a much better effect on the overall watching pleasure as compared when it is dubbed in English. I don't know if most people would agree with this, but for me I think I would agree with this.

Manga lover. It only means I love reading Japanese comic books. You know, before an animation, the story is published in the form of comic books that they call manga. When I say, comic books, it's really a comic in book form.

My brother and I used to watch cartoons all the time. We would actually agree on cartoons to watch because we ended up liking a lot of the same ones like David The Gnome or the Gummy Bears. I think a lot of the cartoons now aren't the same as when I watched them. Nothing can compare to Fraggle Rock.

I hope I can find a way to check out those cartoons that you mentioned, because I believe those cartoons aren't shown in the country I live in. Although I'm familiar with Gummy Bears cartoons, I don't remember it being shown here. The other two cartoons you mentioned are entirely new to my hearing...David the Gnome and Fragile Rock. Anyway, I can check them in youtube...I'm almost certain I can find them there :)

Anyway, anyone knows about the cartoon "Alakazam?" not the series but the classic Alakazam movie of the 80's. I remember watching this cartoon every time it's Christmas Season here. The characters there are highly interesting and the story and the musical scoring were unforgettable to me. That was one of my favorite movie cartoon when I was young.

Yes that happens to me to, like when I was young I liked watching marvel superheroes, but when I got older I also find them boring. Some cartoons I remembered in my youth that I liked were Shazam, Moby Dik, Mighty Thor and the one with many interesting dinasaurs ( I forget the name of that cartoon ). I also liked Spiderman, Scooby Doo, Casper and Loony Tunes. If I watched them again today I will not be excited anymore as compared to when I was young. So I think of cartoons as good memories of my youth.

I don't find anything wrong with that. As an adult, I still find pleasure watching cartoons and Walt Disney movies. I think many people have this inner child in them, and a child have a lot of fantasies and they have most of the fun in life. I also don't believe in the concept of growing older and growing serious, and forgetting how to have fun in life. For me, life is meant to be fun no matter what stage of aging you are in. Let's clamor for more cartoons! lol

My nephews also likes Tom and Jerry very much, but they are able to watch it by buying Tom and Jerry CD. In my childhood days, it was never shown on tv so I don't know about that cartoon...except that it's a popular cartoon in America and in other parts of the world as well.

In my younger ages I was having any duties. So I used to spent most of the time with Tv by seeing cartons. At my younger ages I was very found of it. I love to spent time to see it. At those days I used to see cartons like BeyBlade, Tom and Jerry and many others. Those days are still in my mind.
