do you consider mylot a chat room?

savagecabbage let me remind you that you can read the dos and do nots of making discussions and arm yourself with the knowledge of making discussions that will not be deleted. so its your choice if you refuse to get the the know how to avoid having your discussions deleted. also you do not get paid in your blasted chat rooms,its all just chit chat. here we learn and earn, we share and care and help others and are helped,now there's is no chat room anywhere can you be helped or help others and still be paid for it.

the only differance is that here at mylot we can respond when we have the time kind of like email messages. yes i sometimes get bored also when i can not find a discussion that catches my eye and attention but at that point i usually start a discussion and wait fro responses and by that time there are more discussions that will catch my eye :) i also will keep coming back!!

i haven't been making a discussion myself. sometimes, i can work easier and faster when i just respond. but also sometimes, i can't think of something to start with.

i can relate to that sometimes i can work better and faster just by finding other discussions to comment on but if i run out of ones i am interested in i will try to start one but i have the same problem as you sometimes i just can NOT think of one to start so that makes it a little harder lol but lately i have been starting a few of them every few days :)

i havent been here on mylot but for about 2 months now and i know i have never thought of it as a chat room. when my friend told me that i was kind of in shock and i wanted to know what everyone else here thought about it. mylot seems to take the best parts out of other websites and put it all together and makes it 10 x better (if that made any sence to you...didnt mean for it to come out wrong if i did lol sometimes i am not good with words haha)

Hello friend, Yes my friend I also think that it is not a chatting room. It is a discussion room. If you campare mylot with a chatting room then it is a chat room. Have a nice day.

there are a few things that a chat room has in commen with mylot but there are way more differacnes in the 2. i guess if you really sit down and you think about it then yes mylot can be compared as a chat room in some ways but truely it is "fun" place to just relax and "chat/discuss" with other people and you can take your time in doing this instead of having to do it right then or as soon as you log out itll dissapear.

i think that is what seperated mylot from a chat room. a chat room you have to give an answer/reply pretty quick and right then. mylot like you said you can get a reply back at any time. yes i am sure it cost way more than that to chat using letters and i like this way better lol.

yes it took me a little while to truely understand what mylot was about and what it can do to someone once they are registered here but now that i am a member i love it and i do not think i will ever leave :) yes mylot is a discussion site but i guess in all honesty it can be considered a chat site to but to me it is a discussion site and it always will be. to me a chat room is a place you talk back and forth quickly here at mylot you resond when you can and reply back when you can :)

But if you are online at the time others have posted their comments you could post back and then may be it could be called a chat but this happens rarely.

i have had this happen a few times where i was online at the same time that someone commenting on my things we on so i guess that can make it kind of like a chat room but like we stated before it is more a discussion site and it is very rare that they are online when you reply to them unless you go to the "new" discussions because those are the most recent :)

i tried to explain it again and because they believe it is a chat room they want nothing to do with it i was even going to show her this conversation lol to show her that all of us look at it diffrently and that is the point here in mylot. it is meant for us to all have discussions and talk about it and further it and all in the mean time we can make a little extra cash. i agree with you i know the truth and if she doesnt want to check it out then it is her loss and i will be the one haveing fun :) i agree with what you are saying about the diffrence because here we can respond to discussions from 3 years ago if we wanted or we can look back at a previous one we started to get more idea or if you forget but once you sign out of a chat room there is no way to go back and see what you talked about.

there are also regulations in a chat room but they are not as extreme as they are here at mylot. i agree that mylot is WAY diffrent than a chat room beacause of the people that you meet there usually only want to have "fun" in a complete diffrent way than you have fun here on mylot.

i understand where you are coming from with that because in a chat room you normally only talk to those people once but here at mylot we can talk to each other many many times and keep up to date with them :) i guess you could say in chat rooms you make temporary friends here at mylot you make friends that last for a while :) thank you for your comment and you insight :) now if only i could get my friend to understand mylot better and actually be interested in it :)

i see where you are coming from but look at it this way... in a chat room when you are done talking then the conversation is done and once you sign out it is gone forever but here at mylot you discussion will be there forever for anyone to see. i do agree with you tho it is a place to "chat" with others but i am able to lean either way :) i also love this site. like you said we can talk about anything and ask anything without being judged by others like some of us would at home around our real friends.

yes i can understand why she feel that way but it would be nice for her to want to hear me out about what mylot really is about. i was going to show her this discussion to show her what we all think about it but i am not sure i can even get her to look at it lol. yes there are all types of discussions that go on here and there is something for every one to respond on. here in mylot it will stay forever and ever and you can go back to it to check it out any time you want to in a chat room you can not. i love when the discussions come out with lots to talk about but it also helps everyone earn money so that is a mojor plus :) lol

yes mylot is a very safe sight. i do not think i have found a mean person yet lol and i havent found anyone looking for the other kind of fun haha. it is very easy to get new friends that like the same things you do or that you can relate to :) making money is just a plus added to all the fun you can have here. hope you have a great day :)

if i had to choose i would say that mylot is more like a facebook site but then again it is WAY diffrent from a social network like facebook lol.
