Would you dunk your bread to your favorite drink?

I usually want to put my "pan de sal" to my favorite coffee drink; most preferably black. It's what we called "Tondo-style" as here in the Philippines; aside from adding sandwich spread to it; we dunk it really good in a hot drink. Pan de sal is one of our favorite bread here in the Philippines. It's like the typical crusty bread in the morning and sof in the inside. Would you dunk it even for others it is not appropriate?

Dunker? - No, this guy (me a few years ago) might snack during the day, but he rarely dunks; and anyway, this is orange juice here he's posing with; who'd dunk into orange juice? Not even this guy.
I don't dunk much it has to be said. But very occasionally I will do it when alone I think; although I can't recall doing it publicly. I may have done, but I can't recall. If someone did it in front of me, I think I might be a little put off: it doesn't look too good after all. I usually drink instant coffee, and it's been some time since I had a really good cup of coffee, with a croissant. And speaking of dunking gives me the urge to dunk a really fresh croissant into a really good cup of French coffee. Sadly, all I have to comfort me is a cold cup of instant...oh well...mustn't complain...:o)

Never knew that dunking bread in your drink was bad manners. I have done it in public a number of times. Oh no :( javascript:__doPostBack('ctl00$cphMainContent$btSubmit','')

But sometimes it happens. Like you're carried over to the aroma of your black coffee! Hahaha.. for once it happened to me and i dunk my Pan de sal with margarine on it to my coffee and it was so yummy still. Haha.. But the bread and the drink didn't matter. It's still food ^_^-)

Yes, my mom used to dunk her bread in her coffee. There is nothing wrong with that. I would not dunk anything while at a restaurant though.

Yes. One reason about this topic is to check if some people still have eating etiquette versus the thingamajig that they want to do with food in order to enjoy it more. Nice answer back there and we'll be looking forward for your posts later. Happy mylotting!

Hello friend, I also do it my friend. But I do it on tea. Because I don't like coffee. It is bad for my health. So I don't drink it. Have a nice day.

I haven't tried it on tea yet. I usually see it with biscuits and usually they dunk on it. We'll check on that and try it with myself. What type of bread are you dunking into it? Let me know more about what tea are you also drinking along with the bread. There's a lot of tea out there to be specified. Thanks and Happy mylotting!

I never knew that it was called "Tondo-style" care to explain why it's called that way? I love dunking bread on my warm cup of Milo. I usually use loaf bread which sucks more liquid, so when i bit it, the bread oozes! Haha! yucky I know, but I love it! It's my comfort food, especially if the bread has creamy butter in it, or Chiz Whiz :) YUM YUM YUM.
