How many children need to be molested before we end the TSA?

In yet another case of TSA molestation a 4 year old girl was accused of being a terrorist because she hugged her grandmother after being screened. TSA was sure that the grandmother, who had not yet been screened, must have passed the child a gun during the hug. Now anyone with half a brain would have said "We need to rescreen this child, send her through the metal detector again." But then, what TSA officer could pass up the opportunity to molest a 4 year old girl? The TSA says they have determined that the molesters, or TSO did nothing wrong by molesting the child. When are we going to put a stop to this garbage? People need to write their congressman and senators and demand they put a stop to this crap. http://radio.foxnews.com/toddstarnes/top-stories/mom-tsa-treated-my-4-year-old-like-a-terrorist.html

This is all done on purpose to get us used to the idea that government has the right to strip and search and violate our privacy. There have been too children given this type of invasive pat down. There have been too many TSA agents convicted of being child molesters or downloading and distributing child p0rn. Too many elderly have been treated without any dignity. People must demand that they representatives in Congress vote to defund the TSA immediately or face loss of their seats.

That poor child wasn't treated like a terrorist--she was treated WORSE than a terrorist. Since we're not allowed to profile, a terrorist could conceivably-and probably has already-walk merrily onto an aircraft. He/she could sue the TSA for violating one of his/her religious belief or practice--hell, there was a time a couple of years ago when there were women with headscarves allowed to pat down themselves and report anything they found. That made a big splash in the news, as I recall. Airports used to be able to have private security rather than TSA but I think that's been rescinded. People should refuse to fly. My sister just left after visiting me and she drove rather than subject herself to TSA insults. And it only took her a couple more hours to drive than it would to fly! Hit the airlines where it hurts, in their pocketbooks, and we'll see some changes. Drive, take a bus or a train or carpool. Money talks.

The problem is that the airlines don't want this either, they just have no control over it. Several have applied to be exempted from having the TSA and been turned down. Only a handful of airports have been allowed to opt-out. The only people who can really fix this mess are the ones who created it, politicians.

It doesn't seem to make a lot of sense does it? If it was my little grand daughter I would be hopping mad if they caused here any fear or uncomfortableness what soever!

I think that the people at the TSA should be fired. There is no need to physically search a baby, toddler or any child under the age of 7 or 8 for explosives. To me, it's wrong, and these people should be ashamed of themselves for doing things like this.

It will end when people stop standing there like sheep and express their outrage over it verbally and physically if need be. Our Senators and congressmen aren't going to do anything, they are part of the problem. People need to speak up and boycott this until they get the picture. I haven't flown on a plane in nearly 3 years and I have no intentions of ever flying again until this crap comes to an end. I would rather spend the day driving than 2 hours of flying somewhere and subjecting myself or children to this Nazi gestapo crap.

There is security, which is all fine and good, but then there is this which is not fine and good. There are people who are excessively paranoid to the point where they suspect anything or perhaps there are some twisted people who use it as an excuse to indulge in whatever demented things. It will be getting the point if this keeps up where no one would rather want to go on the airline, for fear of something like this happening. And I think that there are more than a few people who have decided that they would rather not travel by air, but rather drive. Not enough to threaten people into actually doing anything. And the real problem is enough people need to use the airlines where it won't make enough of a dent and any attempt to make those in authority understand will be regarded as demented ramblings by those in charge, with people exaggerating no matter how legit the complaints are.

Just mentioed this to my American husband (in the kitchen making us some popcorn!) and he's jumping up and down screaming. I sure don't blame him. He read the article before. This is the first I've heard of it. These people are powermad, and I can't help but wonder of pedophiles are going to take jobs with them, because they'll have a legitimate excuse to do what comes naturally to them.

I agree! I listen to TALK101FM and we have a local man that tries to get all this kind of information outthere. Its a shame the way we are being manhandled. Especially our children and elderly. The military was not even this rough with enlisting in the Army. I often wonder how TSA would feel if it was THEM or THEIR children going through this. I bet if they see family coming they pass them through. I wonder how all these congressmen and women that have private jets so they don't deal with day to day issues, and lets not forget the top CEO of our Country the PREZ that would not know what a search is for him or his family or the Vice President and his family. It is horrible.
