I don't know why, but my dad loved to go frog giggen. he would bring the ugly things home and have mom fry up frog legs. UGH I have yet to EVER eat one. Cant get past knowing it was a frog LOL
Dad always said it tasted like chicken! LOL
One evening dad had went and got some and he cleaned them and brought them in for mom to fry.
She had a very heavy iron skillet with a glass lid she used for chicken. She put the grease in and got the skillet hot and floured and salt and peppered the legs. She dropped them in the grease and started watching them cook so she knew when to turn them.
Well if you don't know there is a nerve in a frogs leg that if it is not cut it will cause the darn things to jump.
So Mom went over to turn them, and 2 of the legs jumped out of the skillet and onto the floor. What was the funny part was mom and dad had just put in some indoor outdoor rug in the kitchen and now with these frog legs dancing around on the floor mom had a huge grease mark that never did go away LOL
But when them things jumped, mom let out a yell and told my father that was it! If he brought anymore home HE had to cook them. she swore they were chasing her in the kitchen because she was trying to cook them. I know I made my sides hurt laughing at both of them. Dad told her she should have kept the lid on and mom telling him she had to turn them so how was she supposed to keep the lid on?
LOL good stories.
Got any funny ones that your parents did?

so you don't eat meat at all? Or you find a chicken or cow or pig less worth as a frog?

I can eat most other meat. Even squirrel, rabbit, quail, and all kinds of fish. But there is something about frogs, snakes, and insects that makes me stop there LOL

Everyone says that disgusting things taste like chicken. I always think "then I'll just eat chicken". I definately would not have ate them after they jumped out at me. How funny that must have been!

Yep and that dark stain from the oil remained embedded in the carpet where he had jumped out of the pan!

My whole family loves dogs. We"ve had dogs ever since I was little. They were of different breeds and had different temperaments. We had 2 japanese spitzs, 2 dalmatians, a terrier, a labrador, a shitzu and a chow chow. Most of them stayed outside the house because they were not domestically trained. But occasionally, we would let them inside as a reward for behaving properly. There was one dog however, that never got this chance. Her name was Golda, and she was a naughty labrador. She was very playful and I don"t think I"ve ever seen her sleep. There was one time when my dad was gardening in the backyard. He was pulling out some weeds with his back against us. All of sudden, we heard him yell as he shook off his whole body. Apparently, Golda peed on his back thinking he was a garden statue of some sort. His expression was simply priceless. He looked like he wanted to pull his hair out, out of frustration.
