Sachin Tendulkar becomes Member of Parliament(MP) of India........

Sachin Tendulkar has been nominated to Indian parliament., He has nominated to Ragya Sabha.
He accepted the nomination offer and His nomination has been accepted by Prime minister & president, so he has been confirmed as the MP of India.
Now he fills one of the 12 reserved slots in Parliament for having special knowledge or practical experience in respect of such matters as literature, science, art and social service.
BCCI also welcomed the move.
I personally don't want Sachin to turn out as Politician, anyway congratulations to the master.

Yes I heared this news today in a news cannel. I am very happy for the incident. Because I am a big fan of Sachine Tandulkar. He is a very good cricketer. I love him so much.

Yes I am also happy with this decision.In India Rajya Sabha Is called the eldre's house because according to constitution of India, it should contain famous and well known personalities from each and every field of life like games,entertainment,social activists etc.This is arrangement is set up because people should get benefit from their knowledge in respective fields.And most important is that Sachin tendulkear is totally fit for this position.Congratulations Sachin we are eager to see you in the most respected house of the country.

I think this is an honorary position to be truthful. It gives him a chance to involve himself in some service back to the country. It is not like he is joining active politics and contesting in an election. So I think we should consider that an honor for Sachin and nothing else.

The how come he is selected a member for Rajya Sabha? Once Lata Mangeshkar was selected and she did not attend a single session. In my view this is just an act of tomfoolery. Can you expect Sachin standing and raising issues in the house of Parliament?
Any way congratulation to Sachin Tendilkar.

First while seeing that heading i also taught the same like you...(pesonally don;t want sachin to turn out as politician) but after reading that post i am happy that sachin got this because of his talent..all the best sachin

Oh! I am not keeping track of any of the recent news. Good to hear that he's been nominated. I really hope he does something good and do not turn out to be another politician who is again saving all the black money in the swiss bank.

Iam a great sachin fan. But as a true cricket lover i think this is not a great move from sachin. As you said i also personally don't want Sachin to turn out as Politician.
I heard that he met sonia gandhi and might be nominated to the Rajya abha at the behest of the Congress. But from your post only i came to know that it is confirmed.
