Hubby and I are going out of town Friday to a RV resort. haven't conned him into an RV yet but they have these little cottages set up so we are leaving friday after he gets honme and come back Sunday. Not long just getting away from the house and get him out doing something. I take knitting and cross stitching and since the front porches have a swing I can watch him while he is on the lake fishing. Since we are going to Alaska next year, I want to just take a small trip this year to get us away from the house. He likes fishing but won't saltwater fish and this lake will be just perfect. I don't plan on taking my laptop so I can concentrate on my crafts. Will take pictures. Have to pay for the wifi service anyway. Everyone have a great weekend. Will be here today though.

Hi Krause never to late to respond hon! I enjoyed the two days but it went away very fast and yesterday I overdid with catching back up from having the two days off LOL Isnt that just like a woman??? soon as we got the truck unpacked hubby was nestled in his recliner. I told him if he went to sleep I was gonna WHACK him LOL Unfortunately the lake was down. Lady said they have not had good rain at all in the region they are in. We will probably go back this fall for a weekend. I am so trying to be good to save money for our Alaska trip. Its hard. I like going out and not staying home as I am home 7 days a week anyway being disabled. Life sucks when you get older so enjoy being nimble now!

I love just getting away for a weekend, but usually my roadtrips turn into long distance trips. I spent 3 weeks in March in Tennessee and part in Virginia Beach. I'm planning on heading back out there first week of June for another 3 week trip. And then I'll take another trip back out to Tennessee and Virginia in November, to spend Thanksgiving with my daughter. I plan on getting an ocean front room like I did last November, it was awesome, and got a great deal on it. I'm hoping to go camping out in Tennessee this fall too.

Wow you do get around LOL. I love Tennessee. What part do you plan on camping in? We rented a little cabin on Cosby Creek about 20 miles outside of Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains. My husband made a mistake of stopping along side the road in the Park and my son and I jetted out the doors and up the side of the mountain. we were looking for fossilized rocks, animals, etc. Finally when he got us BACK into the car and we went further up into the park and mountains, I saw the word WATERFALL. that was a mistake. Out my son and I go again. My husband is silently cursing knowing I am going to eventually hurt as I have fibromyalgia. But who cares when you can see all this with your own eyes? We made it half way up and water was rushing down beside us it was just gorgeous. Unfortunately we did not make it all the way up people that came down said we were only half way and it was getting dark so we had to go back down without seeing the actual waterfall. But just seeing the water rush down through the rocks has been memorable enough for me. I love the picture you have up as your avatar. To me thats what tennessee looks like!

Ohhhh - that sounds great! Nice to have a weekend getaway! My sister and her husband are going on an Alaskan cruise next month . . . I think they are squeezing in their trips now as they might plan to have a family soon - hee hee. We are hoping to do our first family camping trip this year . . . we were considering renting an RV at some point. I remember my childhood days of going on those early morning trips with the family - my dad loved to fish. Have fun on your trip . . . good for you for taking a break from the computer too!!! See you (on myLot) when you get back!

Hi much2say how are you dear? When my kids are growing up we had boats. We finally got a houseboat and would spend Christmas down at the boat as it was warm with the generator and I could cook. Had everything we needed. If it snowed it was just beautiful to see the snow drift through the trees. And there was never a crowd then either LOL Solitude seems hard to come by in modern times. So when you can find it, its very precious and makes you think this is what God had planned instead of all the concrete we see daily.
