Would there be another communication gadget after the celphone?

I remembered when I was young that beepers were very popular, and I was one proud owner of it and I proudly use it in my past sales work. A few years after, the beeper industry was washed out when a new way to communicate was developed...a new gadget called the celphone. Nowadays we have been using the celphone as it evolved with different types of new functions which we can only dream of when the celphone was first developed. Now I want to ask you, do you think there would be another gadget to replace the celphone and make celphones passe just like what the celphone did to beepers? And if yes, how do you imagine this gadget can do and others that you can imagine about it?
