Just back from a brilliant trip to Gambia. Pity it was only for ten days - but I'll be back for sure. If you're into wildlife and birdwatching - it's for you. If you're after history - it's for you. If you just want to lie on the beach and take in the rays - it's for you. If you're into good food and great entertainment - it's for you!
I just love this little country on the West Coast of Africa. Gambia is the tops.

It was lovely that you really enjoyed your visit to the Gambia in West Africa. I love topical destinations with white sandy beaches and green palm trees. I know many of the hotels have outdoor swimming pools and day trips up river are offered. I am keen on seeing wildlife and bird life. I worry that malaria is present there but it sound excellent there. I imagine it has cheap prices. The tourist revenue helps the poor people that live there.
