For your singing pleasure, we find that there are two ways for us to practice our singing. These two are using a karaoke with a cassette of the minus one of the songs that we liked. The other option is the videoke which is similar to karaoke but this one you will be watching a video while you are singing with lyrics written on the video. I know the videoke is the latest of the two, but because I still can see a lot of karaokes being made and sold in stores, I feel there are still a lot of people who prefer a karaoke than a videoke. How about you, what would you rather have for your singing pleasure?

Western Mylotters (especially the Americans,Canadians and British)wont understand this discussion because the thing we call Videoke is what they call Karaoke.
and they pronounced as Carrie-Yo-key.
Singing with a band in a bar is also called Karaoke in western world. I know that may sound weird, a Filipino invented Karaoke but its Popularized by the Japanese but the word changed meaning globally except in the Philippines.

Thanks for pointing this out, CaptAlbertWhisker...I never knew this!
Okay for those who want to participate in this discussion...karaoke would mean a singing musical appliance with cassette tape player for minus one tapes and with a mike plugin, and this music box don't use video while singing but you use a small lyric sheet to read the lyrics of the song while singing. videoke is also a muiscal appliance similar to karaoke but we use cd tapes, and when you play this cd there would be a music video that would show the lyrics of the song you're singing so that you can simply read that lyrics while the song is in progress.
So if anyone has other types of singing experience besides these two types, you can also share them here and how you use them.

Yes, we can also add in these discussions why we liked using karaoke or videoke. We can have more to share about our experiences of singing with others. I think one thing why videoke is very popular is because you don't have to hold the lyrics in your hands because the lyrics are shown on screen while you're singing the songs...it's more convenient that way. And maybe more people liked the drama being shown on the screen about lovers while you're singing your chosen song, and I think this adds to how you emote to the songs.
