after chelsea use this formation and beat barcelona 1-0 in the first leg, too much club now become coward club and only want to win they did not know what is the beautiful of football like barcelona as long as they can win, even put 10 defenders and make the game is boring, its okay.. what a pity when had a team like that

I have to disagree with you. Of course, for neutral fans is good to see offensive and open football, for for the involved fans it is more important to win. And the same applies for the involved players, staff and other involved persons. It was clear that Chelsea cannot knock out Barcelona if they will play offensively. And it was clear that Chelsea needs a lot of fortune to knock Barcelona out. Chelsea did a heroic defensive display and they had a lot of luck also. Spain played ugly at the World Cup 2010, scoring only 6 or 7 goals and they won the trophy. The same can be said about Greece in 2004. But winning is more important for those who are sentimentally involved than a beautiful game. At least that is how I see things.

it was okay.. i think not everyone like and agree with my opinion iam romanisti and you know, my team sometimes lost because of the offensive tactics.. like when fiorentina beat us 2-1 but iam proud of them, when they did not use the coward tactics.. i am really sick when see the team using the 10 defenders only for keeping their goal.. it become unbalanced game..

Yes, but at the end of the day the performances remain in the history. Di Matteo likes defensive football and that was a masterpiece of it, what Chelsea did in the two games against Chelsea. What Chelsea did was a great sign of discipline and self sacrifice from the players and they have fought for the success of their team. They can be congratulated for this, even if it was anti-football what they did, they've parked the bus in the box.

i really hate for the tactics 10-1(10 defenders and 1 goalkeepers) i do hope bayern will give some lesson for di matteo that the best tactics is attacking and attacking from the first minute

Yes, the game was really boring. But there were two parts to that story my friend. On the one hand, Chelsea was completely just defending. On the other hand, Barca was guilty of overplaying the ball and they paid the penalty for that. Also Messi's penalty miss was a big one. Cheers! Ram

actually there were some coaches who knew how to play beautiful football. But they were sacked when their team didn't win.

It won't that horrible if the center back player of Barcelona which is Puyol if I'm not mistake. Didn't act like a forward or midfielder. What He has done in there? Where is He when the goal happen?

While it is definitely not eye pleasing, this is the only way Chelsea, or any other team for the matter, could have stopped Barcelona. If they were to go all out and fight fire with fire, Barcelona would have put them to the sword. So credit to Chelsea for this.

It's pathetic. Seriously, they just kick the ball forward, hoping that Torres will catch it. Just how they scored that last goal against Barcelona. They were lucky, but I don't think lucky will get them to the top. I hope that Bayern will show them how football is really played.

the chelsea strategy is same with madrid tactics when meeting against barcelona di matteo adopt what your coach do.. both of them know that their player quality can`t stand if play attack when against barcelona..so how come you react with the chelsea strategy when you defend your team strategy??

the league is not over..there are 4-5 games.. and if the end season and show that madrid is winner, we can say that this season is better than barcelona but it did not change that madrid since 2007 always inferior when play against Barcelona.. they always put many defenders in their goalkeeper when play against barcelona and use 10-1 formation..what a pity..

That's not true. You can't compare the strategy of Real with the one of Real Madrid. Real counters, that's not being a coward. Also, Real Madrid has definitely as much quality as Barcelona. There's no way you can call Barcelona the better team. Take a look at the competition, who's first? That's right, Real Madrid.
