What do you think happened to Whitney Houston?

We all know what Whitney Houston's contribution to the music industry is. She has been a phenomenon artist whose music never died and still touches a lot of hearts nowadays. I'm one of those who think that Whitney is one of the greatest singers of all time because of her powerful voice, high pitch, great technique and especially because she sings with a lot of feelings and emotions. Having said that, we can see that her career suddenly died at a certain point in her life, and she seems to become depressed and I heard a rumor that she was taking prohibited drugs. What really destroyed her and what do you think are some of the reasons why her fabulous life turned into some sort of a 'miserable has-been?'
