About Squidoo

I signed up at Squidoo about a year ago. The site seems really nice but because I was also writing for Triond, Bukisa and Factoidz at that time, I decided to dismiss the idea. Well, I only write for Expertscolumn and Factoidz nowadays. I wanted to ask if Squidoo is the same as Triond? I mean, how does everything works there? Is the pay good? Is Squidoo a pay for views site? Thanks in advance.

hi phoenix, squidoo is a total waste. i joined the site, wrote two lenses and frankly speaking forgot about it. Now I logged in to see those two articles disappeared into thin air. Its because we have to keep it active I think and the pay is low like in wikinut. So, to me expertscolumn and knoji is ok. Try helium if you can join. I just hard about ayushveda.com They pay nicely but took me a while to find the link to submit application. writers@ayushvedainformatics.com is the id for submitting resume along with two sample articles and contact address. All the best. this is not a referral link.- deepa

Hello, deepa. Thanks for the information. I guess, I won't be joining squidoo after all. I am having issues with my writing sites that is why I am inquiring for more options. I don't know about Helium, I've heard some negative feedbacks there as well but I suppose all sites have flaws. Although, I am going to check out ayushvedainformatics. Thanks again :)

phoenix, i am demoted from expert in factoidz, not only me all other experts too. how disgusting. i tried exposeknowledge.com. it pays upfront too for the right category i.e. articles get as much as 80 cents with images and all that plus more for views.

Yes, that issue saddens me. I am sorry to hear that but I guess you are not alone. I have a friend there who has over 180 thousand views and he says he only receives 4 dollars a month. New writers have great advantages there, the old ones are slowly being eliminated. I hope, I am wrong. As for me, I feel that I am also being dispatched. Exposeknowledge seems promising. But, right now. I am having doubts. Its not easy to earn as a writer. Its a good thing that I listened to my mom that I take the medicine course lol... Writing is something addicting though and as much as I do not gain from it, I love it. Well, hope all goes well for us :)

I did quite well in squidoo. Last moth I made more than $100 from 30 plus active lenses. I made some more from amazon affiliate link that I put in my squidoo lenses too. The trick is you have to build lens with good and a lot of content (a long lens). Make a small lens then you leave it without nurture is an obvious mistake. Also, make lens about 'product' because people are willing to buy product. When people buy, you make money. If you make lens about your idea, politic, hobby or debate you may attract many visitors to your lens/website but they are not a buyer, they are readers. Readers read only and they would not buy anything and no money for you. One of my lenses get around 200 visitors per day, how many sales do you think I can make from this number of people?

That's good news. I write product reviews too, maybe squidoo can work for me. Thanks for the tips :)
