On Saturday and Sunday my partner and I had two wonderful days out! We have a large indoor market in Belfast, Northern Ireland, called St George’s Market.. and it is one of the largest indoor markets in Europe and one of the oldest attractions in Belfast also.. and a Friday market has been operating there since the 1800’s. . See here.. http://www.belfastcity.gov.uk/stgeorgesmarket/ And here.. http://www.discovernorthernireland.com/St-Georges-Market-Belfast-P3230 Since then, two more trading days, of Saturday and Sunday have been added. It has also been host to large events such as concerts.. the latest being Snow Patrol, and the Script. On a Friday it is the Variety market, which is crafts and antiques, clothing, food etc. Then on a Saturday morning, it’s the food market. Food from all round the world. Spanish, Italian, Speciality foods such as fine cheeses, wines, olives, tomatoes, humous etc.. and the freshest vege, fish and meat from all round Northern Ireland. They even have cupcakes and cakes etc from real American style bakeries etc.. and as most of you will know, I have a real love for American food! Then on Sunday, it’s a mixture of the two! So we had a great time and got plenty of fresh fish, special sauces, curries etc. Personally I don’t think you can beat fresh produce. Do you have a large market near you? What do you think of this market?
