This is creepy!

What is creepy is in bed sheets! I read an article recently and now I am washing my sheets every week in hot water! If you don't wash your sheets that offen ,which alot of people don't, you can heve problems with mites! Those things love dirty sheets! Especially when you sweat! Ewwww! They then can bite you! I was changing my sheets every two weeks but after that story I am doing it every week! I don't want those things biting me and living in my sheets! It was bad enough hoping I would never get bed bugs but we all can get mites! So we all should be washing are sheets more!

I never thought of the pillows! I don't becasue I never saw my mom wash pillows! When I have tried to wash pillows they come out weird and never are the same again! Now I know Bed mites are in there I will try washing my pillow,too!

We are washing our sheets every week even
before I got to know about these mites or bed bugs
or whatever. My mother is a little OC about cleanliness
and stuff so I think we're safe from that.

When I wss growing up I rmemeber my mom washed the sheets every two weeks. So I moved out I did the same thing! Now it will be every week after reading that story on the mites! Yikes! It still creeps me out!

Yeah, mites really are creepy little buggers. The are everywhere though. If you think your sheets are bad, you should see the carpet, the furniture, the curtains in your home. And no matter how much you dust/vacuum they are never really ALL gone.

I knew mites existed before I read that story. Just didn't realize they are everywhere,not just in our sheets! creepy! I will continue to wash my sheets every week and my blankets and comforters more often!

this is the first time in your life you hear about mites? Mites are everywhere also in your matrass so you better clean (vacuum) that one frequently too. Also there are plenty of other things hiding in your matrass and sheets. Wearing pjama's (which mostly been washed way more frequently as bed sheets) is a good start.
To me it's normal to, at least wash the bedsheets, once a week. People with allergies should do so anyway.
BTW there are plenty of people who don't use sheets at all, ever thought about that?

Call me a dunderhead! I knew of mites before I read this story but didn't realize they live in the sheets, mattress and other places! I have heard of bed bugs and how bad they can be but not mites until now. My mattress needs sheets! I have slept without sheets! My mattress doesn't have a soft cover!

I mother usually used to wash my bed sheet per week. My bed is clean and it do not seems any dirt in it and I wounder why she clean them every week. Now I got the answer for them.
So, today On wards I will ask to clean them on each week without missing them and I will give my hand to do them easily.

Growing up my mom washed the sheets every two weeks. So I was washing them every two weeks. Now I will every week. Dirty or not!

I had a boyfriend once who didn't change his sheets very often! I was appauled when I found this out! I don't know how he slept! His sheets stunk! When I was with him the sheets were changed every two weeks! Now I know about the mites,I will continue the once a week washing of my sheets!

We have baby and she likes play in my bed so we change our bed sheet every two days and my husband always washes it in hot water. Before we have our baby normally we change sheet every weekend. But I guess after what you said when my baby doesn't play in my bed anymore I better change the sheet every three days max
