Have you felt weird when no one's texting you the whole day?

Philippines are said to be the contry with most number of texts sent everyday. But I find it weird today; which is Labor day. No one is texting me. I don't want to be in texting clans as this will spam my phone for good and I want to keep my number personal. But for some reasons, I find it really weird right now. Not even my friends back in Manila or my group mates are texting me. Hoping to get a text message; Have you feel this before? How do you deal with it? No matter how much you try to ignore sometimes; I will bug you for sure especially if you felt that you have dome something wrong or bad. hahaha... Talking about "Forever Alone" antics. How ironic.

I love testing with SMS. I find them a part to strength our relation. Some days I find bored without any SMS or replies from my friend. Some days my hundred daily usage SMS got over within hours.

I have a group and I do text them once and awhile. But for once we have this work piling up like mountains and that could be one of the reasons I'm not texting them and they're not texting me. Maybe that's a valid excuse though.

No, my friends haven't text me yet. But I did receive a text and it was a perks alert. Hahaha.. Most of the time people get irritated when they're been receiving alerts from their mobile carrier. Whenever we receive this we tend to get annoyed as if you thought it is an important text already. But that's the least that I have now and I'm somewhat okay. Which kinda reminds me of those "Forever Alone" jokes; Bet my story will be included in their online comic gag. It goes: Loner: "Yaaaay~!! I got a text.. I haven't receive it for days!" **checks his cellphone: FREE Ringtone alerts** FOREVER (ALERT)/ ALONE _

I actually welcome the silence of my cellphone in a day. It's a luxury that I quite enjoy because in my usual day I would need to receive and send several - these are mostly on business and not the flirting type. I don't mind not hearing the sound of the phone at all. I would be glad if nobody texted me for a whole month! ahahaha call it an introvert. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

True. Regardless the technology, there's nothing faster than the speed of our typing using the keyboard.

Yes, we can now send text using internet connections and PC. I'm sending texts if necesary and I'm not purchasing "load" or airtime/ mobile minutes to call or text. It derives me from those unwanted spendings and I need to utilize what I have first before purchasing.

Most of the time you may think that they're not texting you is because they're may be busy at some point. The last time that I remembered I have receive a lot of text back then it is Christmas and New Year. I've already figured out why I can't receive text on valentines. Hhahahah... 'Nuff said.

I am not surprised that nobody will text me in the whole day. But I still receive many SMS everyday but most of them are scams. They come from the bank, sales and so on. I love China

Oh yeah~!! We also have it here in the Philippines. Here is a sample text format that I have been receiving: "Congratulation. You have won Php750xxxx (or any given amount) and you need to call this number for more details on how to claim -Atty. (Some bogus name)" It's really facted-up!! Once my coworker DID call them for fun and asked them how does it works or why in the world would he won if he haven't join any contest yet. HAHAHAHA... We laughed so hard as the puny texter can't provide a better rebuttal than, "all you need to do is to claim it" What a scam. It'S mOrE fUn In tHe PhiLipPines!

...and take note: Congratulation without the "s" and he's an attorney?! Com'on! You'd better have a good grammar than than. I would love to hear more about the text that you're receiving like this. This will also make them aware not to fall in this text that they may receive at any given time. Happy mylotting about scammers! hahahah ^___^-)

Yes, I don't feel good if I don't get several SMS from my friends. But it happens now a days, say 4-5 days a month. I love to text a lot and use to send around 150 SMS per month. I would like to get SMS after sending some to others especially when I ask them abiut their health, whereabout and what they are doing then. But when they don't reply me for a day or two but feel sad

I usually take advantage of unlimited texting plan for a day if I have to send GM for my friends and also I am also looking forward to check my friends every now and then by texting.

I am not much into texting nowadays but I still feel weird when nobody texts. When I am busy, I don't often reply to texts except when it is important but when I don't receive any texts I feel uncomfortable like today. However, there is always some text that I am looking forward to and that is from my special someone. If he does not text I get worried because I know that he will never forget to text me. He hasn't done so and I think he is still sleeping.

Hahaha..of course. You'd probably wondering if they still care about you now; that's one of the things it makes un anxious about incomming text not being received. Or sometimes, out of necessity; sombody would text me if it is really an emergencuy or a reminder of something important.

I don't text that much either but if I don't get one text from hubby while he is at office I will get little worry and I will be the one who text him first to see he is ok.

When I had a boyfriend before, we always text our whereabouts if we can't call in where we at (sometimes we're not in a position to call because i have work in BPO, no cellphones allowed on the production area and he's at work). It is also cheaper to communicate if Facebook is not around. So much for the fun. At the end of the day, we're meeting and exchanging hugs and kisses. That's better than text, of course ^__^-)

There have been many times when I experienced that, for the whole day no one has been texting me. Yeah, it's really weird but I thought that maybe something wrong is going on. So every time that happens, I turn off my phone, take out the battery and the SIM card. Take it all in again and turn it on. It turns out the problem is on my SIM. There are times when my SIM really can't receive texts. That's rare but it happens. There are also times when there are just really no one texting me. It makes me feel lonely but the next day when someone texts me, I feel happy.

No one has ever text me and I feel really good about it! How silly is texting? what do you text about all day and night? Once I got a text bill by mistake. I told them I wasn't paying for it and they cancelled it from my bill.

Phone bills in where you at is different. Here in the Philippines, we're not being billed by incomming text like in the US. For once I have a receive a call from a frustrated customer in the US trying to explain that she shouldn't be billed for those incomming text because she doesn't want to receive it in the first place. I don't know if it is still ongoing in the US. Of course that's crazy! You're being billed by those text that you're not suppose to receive. Here it is prepaid and text are being billed to the one who's sending, not the one who is receiving. Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Nice one~!! We'll be looking forward for your thoughts here in mylot. Happy mylotting (and text guilt-free ^_^)

Sometimes you'll get those "wrong send" text. Hahaha... And you text back at them; "who are you?" Then they won't reply. -_-") Texting sometimes are for leisure. I don't mind text seriously. Calls are most prefer but for some reasons; if I am too busy it goes all to voicemail.

Hahaha.. same thing here. Even there are promo's for unlimited text or calls, I won't buy into it too much and I would rather use my money to buy food than spending "load" or airtime minutes. Happy mylotting, buday. It's more fun in the Philippines~!! **charot!

I am one of the few Canadians alive, over the age of 6 that doesn't even own a cell phone. I have no intention of getting one either. If someone wants to get ahold of me they can catch me at home on my regular land line phone. I don't want to be bothered when I'm out.

Hahahahahaha really weird..Though Im not expecting from a text from someone everyday, but I still have text messages in a day. Sometimes what I do if I encounter situation like this, I load myself and try to text my friends.
• Pasay, Philippines
2 May 12
Even "loads" or airtime minutes is cheap these days; I don't load it up or top-up everyday. I would rather save the money for better use. For example; if it is Php10 everyday for seven days and I'm not using it that much or there's nothing important use on it; I'm wasting $70 a week (almost $2) and you would have bought a meal on it or a cup of coffee. Being thrifty doesn't mean that you wouldn't have a cellphone anymore or you won't buy you cellphone with airtime minutes anymore. It's how you perceive that necessity when do you need to text; when you need it the most like for emergencies. Maybe some of my friends are thinking of it right now; like "why should I load myself up when I won't be using it that much?" Better save this for the better. That's one another excuse I'm not receiving text; hahaha.. another weird theory then.

Not really. Nowadays, I'm not that much particular in sending text messages on my friends because I just only sped most of my time texting with my boyfriend.

Yes it often happens to me too . . I keep looking at my cell phone for several minutes waiting for any text message to come and at last i use to switch off my cell phone . . But I wish that your friends in Manila or your group mates text you soon :)

There are times that you're really checking your phone too much. I bet if you have a Gf or BF you would do that most of the time in checking a messsage grom your love ones. But here goes the part in which one of the couples will not text you the whole day; checking if your fine. Now that's something to get mad of.

I don't actually bummed out or lonely when no one's sending me an SMS. I would rather prefer receiving none of their useless GMs, and texts searching for textmates. I think it's ridiculous, I only send messages when it's really important or when there's something that is worth telling them. My friends already knows that I'm not into texting, but even thought they still send me GMs once in a while which I really find rather annoying, they still know when to or not to send me messages. I would rather them not to text me at all, and I feel more peaceful if no one sends me useless messages.

Hahaha.. it's better not receiving thext than receiving an unrelated GM to you. Pretty much for blogging throug text about what happened to them during the day; I find it too self-centered. they could have get their blog and ask someone to read it then rather than updating everyone what the heck is happening on their end. (e.g: "Awts... My fish is dying.. I'm so sad" - GM) I'm still being sensible. But do you need to have it send to all of your contacts in your phone about it?
