Ebook publishing

Hey guys have u ever published ur book online on a site like smashwords or kindle's independent author publishing platform?
if yes then please share ur experiences on the same. As i have a few books written by me and i want to publish them online. Would be great if any body culd suggest the best way.

I doing some ebooks through Smashwords. The hardest thing to learn was the formating (no tabs, etc.). I am making some money, not a lot, but some.

sell themselves is definetely a great thing, while you spend less money and time to promo them. it wise to create new material
