for saving my discussion earlier. so i was wrapping up my 'avengers' discussion when all of a sudden my pc froze and appeared to have lost internet connection. i was really crossed
about it because i was already tagging my discussion when it happened. i was concerned that the whole discussion will be lost in a mylot blackhole. lol!!!
good thing that after clicking the 'back' button i came upon the page right before posting the actual write-up. the whole discussion was there and was ready to be sent off.
what a relief!!!
has any similar incident happened to you my fellow mylotters?
please do share.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

Oh this is actually why I have formed the habit of copying my post prior to sending 'post response'. I have been a victim (on several occasions) where the internet connection or the website just froze and the information or everything I typed was gone when I had the chance to go back for it.
Now, with the copy-paste feature (after the 100th post) I'm safe that whatever I type would be copied. It sure is frustrating when you realize you've lost the piece you've so passionately wrote for the particular topic.
Hahah..
Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

hi laydee, my thoughts exactly. that is why i copy what i wrote before hitting the 'post response' button as well. if unfortunately, what i wrote wasn't saved, i'd simply paste it again.
you have a great mylot experience as well laydee.
cheers!!!

I have experienced that before. I also had my post back, glad that it wasn't that long for me to be really worried in typing all of it again. I had an experienced before when my internet connection went down for a minute and I was about to post my response, even when I hit back the response was no longer there so I was a bit sad for typing it again. What I do now if I always hit ctrl + c everytime I finish typing my response so I can be sure that even if it freezes I can still paste it when it goes back up.

hi gaiza.
sometimes it is the internet connection that causes us to lose what we type here in mylot. i've also grown accustomed to saving my work even before i hit the 'post reply' button. it is really frustrating to lose all the work that was done because of a weak internet connection. *sigh*
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

Similar experiences have been there earlier. But my responses/replies are not normally too lengthy. Still if the typed matter goes it gives ill feeling. Just an hour back also I had such experience. Luckily when used backwards button I was able to retrieve what I wanted to.

hi ravisivan.
i agree that if it was a paragraph of six to ten sentences, i wouldn't feel crossed but i'm talking about a whole discussion of three to five paragraphs with at least ten sentences per paragraph so it is lengthy. plus sometimes, after i've written something down and it doesn't get saved properly, no matter how hard i try, i can't seem to write it again and feel satisfied with what i wrote. lol!!!
anyway, enjoy mylot my friend!!!

hi yel.
first off, welcome to mylot. i'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here. just make sure to follow the rules and regulations of the site and you'll be all set.
yeah, i think most sites would have a functioning 'back' button. haven't really encountered one that didn't work.
thanks for participating and see you in the mylot discussion boards.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!
