My daughters first words this morning...

I was waking up my 5 year old for school this morning, and she looks right at me and says "Why was the policeman on the bed?" Kind of shocked me for a moment. I didn't exactly know what to say, so I just asked her "what?" Then she says, "because he was undercover." It kind of frightened me at first, but I figured it was a dream. I let her get up and go in the bathroom and start brushing her teeth, then I starting asking her about this policeman, and she looks at me laughing, and says "Mommy, I read it on my laffy taffy wrapper at school yesterday." Then, I realized she was reciting a joke from the wrapper. I couldn't help but laugh at myself for getting so worked up over it. But, with all the crazy things you see and hear about these days, I was concerned as to why she would be asking me about that. She must have been dreaming about eating her laffy taffy, and I woke her up in the middle of it. lol. I just wanted to share that with everybody.

That was a very amusing story and thank you for sharing it with us. I have a 5 y/o soon to be 6 and sometimes I forget the innocence they have and this story makes you realize how young and sweet they are.

Exactly, moments like that do make you realize their innocence more. Thank you for responding.
