Ranking on Mylot

So the more I explore Mylot, the more I get messages that say I can't do things like use mylot emotes without being a certain rank. Now from what I have learned about mylot, my best guess on how to improve my rank is obviously to participate in discussions, which I'm coming quickly to enjoy doing. So as to my question is there a place that I'm over looking that tells me what my rank is ? I know that I'm most likely over looking something really obvious, so forgive my newbie question. I've looked through the FAQs and didn't see anything about it.

If you look beside this user's posts here in this interest you will see:
"ranked 12,749 out of 27,683 in mylot.com"
If we receive ratings within an interest that we have added before we reach a user rating of 100 then we are already ranked there.
User rating and user reputation are not rankings

If you go to this page:
http://www.mylot.com/o/faq/faq11.aspx
You will learn abiout user activity rating (the number beside your username) and user repoutation (your star).
Ranking is something else.
When you reach a user activity rating of 100 you will receive your star and will be able to rate others (read how in the FAQs before then).
When you reach 200 you will be able to add smilies to your posts.
When you reach 500 you will have the privilege of copy/paste and you will be able to add images to responses and comments. For now you can only add them when you start a new topic and to your interests.

hi syramoon they are u sing the wrong work, its the number after your name is your activity number that as it goes higher allows you to use emoticons and to rate your fellow mylotters. all t he information as to which number lets you do what is given in the FAQ's and its the number after your name that they are talking about when you get your star you will be given a percentage which is your reputation at mylot. just go through all the FAQ's and you will see what the numbers after your name mean. I d o not remember
all of them now as I have no need for them now but the info is in the FAQ's remember the number after your name is what you will go by for using emotes and all the other goodies and its not rank
its activity level.

Depends on the interest you are on. Just keep being active, comment on lots of discussion and get to 500, you can do that in two weeks or less if you are determined and have the time.
