Need help from experts.

Hi everyone...
This is the first time i am starting a discussion on this interest(as far i can assume). Well, i need help from computer experts about a software. I need a recorder software as i wish to record some streaming music or you can say online played music from radio station or other sources. I have installed and tried on several softwares but failed. They produce less than 70% sound of the original sound. Where as sounds from other sources (like sounds of several objects around me) also get recorded. So, i wish to know are there any software where i can record the original quality sound without having the sounds of outer sources? Are they available to download for free? or i have to purchase? if i have then please provide me the information about a genuine software. Thanks.

Well,I honestly don't know anything about softwares,lol! I just dropped by to your discussion since I haven't been to yours lately,oh my! My apologies! And lately,mylot notifications are not working in my emails,don't know if mylotters are also experiencing it.

Yes, i am also missing you on my latest discussion on birds. It is also true that i am visiting mylot not so frequently as i am busy with other stuffs.
I seldom follow my mail to see mylot notifications as they appears on spam box. It has been being from months.

I think your "mammu' friend guided you well...
I never know about any software for such recording. However once i recorded a song from TV on to the mobile... that didn't require any softwares.

Use a software called audacity. It works great. Just ensure that you set it to record via the Audio Device of your computer. This is a completely free software and works great. I did use this to record two hindi bhajans (devotional songs) which I could not find anywhere even for purchase.
Yes, there is a voice distortion or the low voice thing when recording but the software has features which can help in fixing the quality of the recordings.
