What do you think of the judges of American Idol now?

We have enjoyed watching American Idol for such a long time already, and we used to love or hate Simon Cowell's overly frank statements which are sometimes even below the belt. Before, the solid combination of Simon Cowell and Randy Jackson and the third judge are changed quite often. But now that Simon Cowell is gone and Randy is left, we now have two new Judges in Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler. How do you rate these new Judges on how they make the show interesting? And also before, who do you think did best as the third judge besides Simon and Randy?

I must admit I too liked Kara Dio Guardi as well. I find it funny and amusing when sometimes she tries to show a contestant how it should be sung, and one contestant said "how you sung it is no" better" or to that same effect, and there was a confrontation as Kara was angry and tried to show her more by showing how that should have been sung...lol. But of course, it's obvious that Kara was the excellent singer and Kara could be considered one of the most beautiful voice around, in my opinion.

Yes, for me those two are doing fairly well. For example, between jennifer Lopez and Paula Abdul, I would prefer Jennifer Lopez by the mile. ( oops I'm aware others may have different opinion with this, but this is an open forum and you can disagree if you want :) Ellen de Generes was interesting but she hasn't much knowledge in singing. I guess having guest judges is one good way to bring new spices in the show :D

BetterDays4Me ..I like both Steven and Jennifer...the audience does not always agree with them and even Randy, but it's interesting to hear their opinions. It gets even more interesting when the three of them disagree

Hello stary1, I also like Jennifer Lopez but I don't like Steven anymore like I used to. But generally I still find their comments interesting, although I feel that Simon Cowell still does a more wonderful job than all of them...in terms of making the show more interesting. He may have meanness in his blood, but what the heck...it works to make the show more fun to watch.
I liked Phillip the most as well to win...he's such a cool guy :)

Personally, I was stoked that Steven Tyler was chosen as one of the judges on there last year. He was funny and even my mom liked him. This year he is different, I'm not sure if it has been the show's doing or not, but he isn't as funny anymore and some of his judging capibilities are rather questionable as are J-Lo's. Randy I think should retire. In other words, I think they should b ring in three totally new judges and stop making it so apparent on who their favorites are and who they want to win and not the viewers themselves. There, I said it.

Thanks for your honest opinions, NailTech. Yes, I guess many people would love to see new faces and Randy has been on the show since it was started. Anyway, on J-Lo and Steven Tyler's part they have been on the show for only two years, right? Concerning Tyler's comments, I really agree that he seems to lose imagination on his comments unlike before he was a lot funnier and more interesting. I guess for me J-Lo is doing a much better job than Tyler, and her laugh is quite amusing to copy...lol. Anyway NailTech, if you would like 3 new judges to come along for American Idol, who do you think would be good choices to handle the show?
