Neteller as a paypal alternative

I would really like to hear your opinion and/or experience you had about neteller. As far as i know, it's an alternate online payment method, like paypal and alertpay. What motivates me to create a neteller acount, is the fact that they also give you a prepaid mastercard, so that you can use it on any of your purchases, or to take cash you have on your neteller account, from any atm worldwide. I am not sure but i think neteller is particularly popular among online gambling games. Do you think neteller is trustworthy enough?

I don't have any use for it since no site that I am involved with uses it. That prepaid mastercard is not given to you! You have to pay for it - and what with? Another mastercard or visa. How foolish is that?

Some interesting points there. I didn't notice you have to pay for the mastercard, thanks for clearing that out. That's an obvious "con" for neteller. I was thinking of requesting a cashout from neobux on neteller, but chances are i'll stick with paypal. It's generally, more well-known and very trust-worthy. Maybe however paypal should consider creating a card similar to neteller's. In case someone is bored of requesting his paypal money on his bank account.

Paypal DOES have a card! But you need to be a pretty big roller to get it. It isn't for us "ordinary" folks! Alertpay has / had? one too.

Didn't know about the paypal card either.:P But since it's for the vip's only:P, it might be a good idea to make something for little us. On the other hand, paypal is doing really nice, there is no big reason they would want to take a risk such as this...

Why not go with the better known companies such as Amazon payments? I am happy there are better options out there so we can choose from PayPal and others etc. The prepaid card you can get as well if you use PayPal(for US only)

You have a point. It's kinda risky to go with a new service when there are already good ones available. What also disencouraged me a lot is the fact that neteller is mostly used among online casino games and similar things.. not the most professional looking account type, and the uses are pretty limited compared to paypal and amazon payments.
