Why is Knoji rejecting articles that are well written?

Is Knoji showing a kind of dictatorial nature? I published an article two days back, which I had written with stats in front of my eyes about cricket. I didn't find any reason why they rejected it. A previously written article was, however, accepted. I had also written that previous article with the same type of reference link. What's going on actually?

Often times Knoji prefers article that are more indexed by search engines. If your article is well written and yet rejected by them, maybe they don't think they could earn more from that artile. Keywords are important sir.

Loosely speaking, what are keywords after all? The names or words that are in the news, isn't it? I wrote article about the current IPL going on in India. The whole world knows it. And I used the hottest keywords, I am sure I was not too negligent about the same. What I don't like about the site is that, they do not pinpoint the reason of rejection. Doesn't it mean they are not getting articles if writers like us had re-submitted after editing? However, the same articles are getting accepted on other sites. And I am not the one who says this.

I have never written an article in my entire life that was rejected, but, alas, I submitted five articles to Knoji, two were approved and I was even congratulated on being an expert in psychology - and the remaining three articles were rejected. I had formatting, tags, wrote good articles, and just don't know what I did wrong. No explanation. Just three strikes and you're out. I have to wait ten days like a child whose mother offered sweets for behaving myself. I won't give up though. I did agree that one article I wrote was off topic. I will be ready when my ban is up.

I am glad that you made it to number five. If you don't mind saying how much in total did the five articles bring in? I like the Knoji site except for this harsh ten day punishment. My rejected Knoji articles were swallowed up by my other sites and I earned from four sites instead of one as you cannot repost a Knoji article. We should keep in touch and give this site a run for its money. Have you earned well overall with Knoji? Please respond. Thanks

Honestly enough, I didn't write for Knoji for any bucks. It was just the cricketing itch I wanted to satisfy. Secondly, I wanted to see where I stand in the writing and how well I can do. I wrote four articles on cricket and one on the sleeping needs. These were the five articles I wrote and were accepted at a stretch. As I wrote on cricket, there was possibly not much viewership to it. So, didn't get any considerable amount through pageviews. But for the activity bonus, I got around 20-25 cents. I didn't understand what you said - "give the site a run for its money'?

Giving the site a run for its money just means to work the process and prove that you can make real earnings. I got 82 cents for my activity bonus. Not bad if you consider that I am writing for Triond for three years and so far make about 1 point each time. I am considering ending that or closing that account as my time can be spent on another site. It takes time to post. I have a few more days to wait before my punishment period is over and I can write for Knoji again. My comments and answers I did yesterday yielded about 12 cents - also not bad for what I did.

It rejects tons of quality articles and publishes crappy ones. There is something really wrong with this site. May be it will turn into a scam soon. I got bitter experience with them and hence stopped posting articles there. We have better sites where we can write and earn more.

How sweetly you have spoken your mind that I can easily agree with. Even I faced similar problems with the site. They refused some of my articles, which I really don't think were not worth rejecting. I can vouch for myself and don't need anyone to tell me if those articles were up to the mark or not. They didn't allow me to write for some days. When I posted again, that was fine. They again refused another article. When I talked with a friend of mine who is also active there, he said that I was writing too many cricket articles - a topic that is not too popular with American based audience. Now that is really a crappy reason if that is true. But I have stopped writing there and getting frustrated for no reason.

I am relatively new there, got only one article published and got three rejected. LOL. The last three articles I submitted I have to agree were only haphazardly done so I can understand the rejection. Anyway, I do not know much about the rules there.

Hey cutie girl, I don't think there are any writers who have not got rejected at Knoji. I have said in different responses that the admin or the moderates - whoever they are, do not point out the EXACT reason of rejection. Every time the same reasons are repeated, which looks very frustrating. If they are rejecting articles like this, they should also give the EXACT reason so we know where to improve. It's possible that there is only a single mistake here or there and the entire article is dumped. Don't they need quality articles? Just passing a feedback will be enough to improve the article and getting it approved. I don't understand why Knoji doesn't do it?

I am really flattered by your answer, and feel happy that someone is there to say that my writing looks good. Anyways, I see it as an improvement if Knoji suggests the particular changes. And as you said, such spelling mistakes do happen on the part of the writers and even if they proofread it, it is still likely that the mistake may not be detected. But if the site is so strict on all the things, it is a certain downside for them to accept such articles as you mentioned.

I don't think it is about improving your work. Your writing looks good. I think they want us to think and give us some sweating time. I was shocked to read an article this morning which was approved and given status, and right in the second line of the article the writer says worst instead of worse. There were many other glitches, but hey, what can you say? Someone should point out the mistakes to them. I hope this does not turn out to be one of those sites that keep the best articles for their buddies.

Dont feel dejected because we all went through the same process. Now it is easier, earlier it was 20 article approval and then the revenue share is very low when compared to experts column. so I think you should try to write for expertscolumn, at least your earnings will be good.

Ah Sree, if I start getting dejected just because one site didn't accept my article, life will be difficult for me. And after all, it is not the end of the world - even if it's 2012 Well, there are other sites that I can be active on, and where I am already. Not to mention them, but these sites are accepting the articles. So, practically my articles aren't getting wasted. But it's just that bad experience everyone of us gets once in a while. As far as your suggestion to go for Expertscolumn is concerned, thanks for the same. I already have 200+ articles there and have got more than 3 payments. So, it's nice to be there.

If you enjoy writing answers you can still stick to Knoji. Anyways, I am also giving a serious thought about my continuation there. If the articles are not accepted, they should at least let the writers continue with the next article. By asking us not to write more, they are allowing the other sites to have those articles. If the articles are edited, what harm is there in accepting them again? Well, I am also on the site exposeknowledge.com. I have posted more than 30 articles there. 3 of the newly posted articles are in waiting. One of them is the one that Knoji rejected. Well, did you suggest the site Boddonun? I don't know if I spelled it correctly. But I didn't have a good experience there. They are really slow in accepting the articles, it seems. I got to know that they do all the approval work only on weekends. That makes us wait for all the week to know if the article is accepted or not. This does not allow us to use the same article on any other site.

thanks for the reply, now all of us experts have been demoted once again. I dont think I will write for knoji again, it is a waste. we cant even submit to expertscolumn or other sites. I think even exposeknowledge.com is better, at least I made 78 cents of two articles upfront. try it if you are not already there. All the best.

Three of mine were rejected too. It kills my moral so bad. I thought it was only me:(

That's right. You have hit the nail on the head. The rejection of articles do kill the moral, especially when you know that you have written to the best of your ability. For a newbie to get an article rejected is fine. But I had written a sample article and they approved it and only then I could start writing. It's not only you mate, many have suffered...

Hey Terinah14, welcome to mylot. I am happy that your first post is the response to my discussion here. Anyways, I really find it very warming to know that you have been paid $7 as the activity bonus. Activity bonus is the amount Knoji pays just for being active on the site. As far as I know, it is done to attract more and more writers and to keep the current ones active. Apart from that the site also pays on a pageview basis. So that is the amount - the 41 cents, you might have received that way. I have also received activity bonus bonus for the articles I submitted. I had submitted around 5-7 articles there. It was during that time that the site got renamed to Knoji from Factoidz. But for reasons not reasonably correct, in my opinion, the site rejected some of my articles. I certainly didn't like that fact. In short, it was rejection for me as well. And so, like you I also stopped submitting articles there.

I've suffered a lot too. There was a time when i sent them three articles and haven't received any update for days. So i stopped submitting for for a while. This morning one of the three articles was rejected, the other one got published and the third is still waiting for approval. That's Ok with me so i started writing again. i often experience rejection on Knoji but i keep writing. I've read your previous conversation with the other guy and you were talking about the activity bonus. it confused me. you said you earned 70 cents for your articles but why do i earn $7 activity bonus for each of my articles? my all in all page views earned me 41 cents.

Hi Abhi.. I am still starter as a article writing. But I feel the same thing. I may be not that good but other sites have approved my articles. And I have written more good quality articles(that I feel) which got disapproved by knoji.. I don't know on which basis they are accepting articles.. May be I need to be best.

I underwent the same thing with Triond. When I started writing online about a couple of years ago, I didn't know many sites then. As a matter of fact, Triond was the only site, I knew. Obviously, I wrote articles only for that site. I published around 5-7 articles without any difficulty. When I wrote the next 3-4 articles, it was really tough for me. I mean, they rejected the next article saying there are readability errors. I wrote another one and in the meantime edited the first one. When I submitted both the articles, I got the same message again. I refereed to some of my friends here and showed parts of the articles at random. Many of my friends were of the opinion that the article was fine (and so was I). I never reverted to Triond after that. You are right. As we keep writing, we get an idea what quality of article we are writing and whether it will be approved or not. Even I am unsure of what parameters they are using. They give a lot of reasons and it is unnecessary as I think, it does not point out the exact error. If they do so, we can edit the articles and upload them again - obviously hoping that it's approved. The site will also have more articles this way.

Today I got a mail saying I am no longer fit to publish more articles until a specified time. I do feel bad but I applied to ayushveda, hope they approve.
