Sachin and Dwayne Smith somehow managed to conjure up a last ball win for Mumbai in the crunch game. Batting first CSK put up 173 on the board with a good knock from Raina to set the match up. But then Mumbai came back with vengeance with Sachin leading from the front with an attacking innings that reminded of his youth again. But CSK pulled the match back and in the final 3 balls, Mumbai needed 14 runs to win the match. Dwayne Smith hit a six, and two fours to take Mumbai over the line to stun CSK. With this win Mumbai go to 14 points and have a foot in the playoffs now. Cheers! Ram

looking on the other side,if pollard replaces pieterson, mumbai will have 2 genuine big hitters at the end to finish the job.if only levi or blizzard gets another chance. about the match when malinga got out on the second ball with 15 required of 4,i almost turned the tv off.somehow i stoped myself from doing and i am very glad about it now. nice addition to the mumbai indians.have to find a way to get karthik and rayudu to bat number 3 otherwise we get to see to many middle order collapses.

I think they will have place for only one striker lower down either Pollard or Smith. Smith was the original calypso hitter, till Pollard burst onto the scene with T&T. Cheers! Ram

Hi ram, I must say Mumbai Indians are lucky today. It was a nail bitting finish and all credits go to Sachin and Dwayne. Yes, hardly any one thought that they would make 14 runs with three balls. But it happened and has happened on several occasion this time.

I think they made the luck. I thought Hilf was clueless and bowled in the exact hitting zone of Dwayne Smith and he capitalized. Cheers! Ram

Chennai had put a great effort on batting. They had put a great score 173 on their score card but still Chennai was not able to make the game in their hands. Chennai had got the 1st wicket quite smoothly but it turned very difficult to break the partisanship between Sachin and Sharma. Every bowlers had tried it but no one could made it till they get into their 50's. Both of them was well planned about what to do in the match. They both of them keep the required under control till the the end of their partisanship. Both of them find a boundary in each of the overs and find some singles, this is what they did in every overs. Finally Ravichandran Ashwin was the man to take the wicket of little master. Chennai was too late for getting him out. This was the reason why Chennai had found failure in the game. Hope they will clear their faults in the next game and proves that they have the ability to do the best.

It was a great game to watch and in this clash of titans Mumbai were the ones who won the match in the last ball.In this years IPL I have seen too many last ball finishes so from this only we can see that all the teams are equally matched.Sachin and Sharma set the game for the Mumbai but it was duplessis who caught a brilliant catch to take the wicket of sachion and the game turned from there as Mumbai lost 7 wickets in no time and in the end they needed 14 of 3 balls. It was the brilliant innings of smith which again turned it towards Mumbai. Then mumbai Indians won the match and now they are in the 4th spot with 14 points and they have a 3 point difference from Chennai Super Kings.Earlier it was a great bowling from Malinga and RP who controlled the flow of the runs in last 3 overs and picked up 5 wickets in last 3 overs.

It was a wonderful match between Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings, Sachin Tendulkar made 74 out of 44 balls while replying to 173 runs made by Chennai Super Kings. I couldn't watch the match, it must have been a wonderful Sachin Tendulkar and a good knock in the end by Dwayne Smith to make 14 runs of the last 3 balls to make Mumbai Indians win the match .. Now Mumbai Indians are nearing the playoffs ...

Yes, with 3 balls remaining I thought CSK had won the match. But Smith really turned it on and Hilf fluffed his lines. Cheers! Ram

Yes. It was really one of the great matches in the IPL history.... Sachin showed why he is still playing cricket and what he can do. ... sachin and rohit bring the MI indians in to the door of victory and smith played a splendid innings. Hats off to great sachin... i think man of the match award goes to smith but that was unfair... really sachin is the man leads the team to victory and smith did only the finishing work....

Yes, Sachin's innings was a masterclass. And he also got out to probably the catch of the tournament. But Hilf let the CSK down. Cheers! Ram
