Tottenham and Newcastle fail to take advantage of Arsenal's slip up!!

Yesterday, both Tottenham and Newcastle were eyeing the 3rd spot after Arsenal slipped up. But unfortunately, neither of them could capitalize. Newcastle lost to Man City 0-2. Tottenham on the other hand could only muster a 1-1 draw against Aston Villa. This means that Arsenal still are one point ahead of Tottenham and two points ahead of Newcastle with one game to go. The third place is still wide open, but it is still advantage Arsenal. Cheers! Ram

It is a good news for the gunners to still stand at 3rd place. Very lucky for them. And it is almost finished the entire Premier league the season of 11/12. It is very big surprised!! Only one game left.

Next week they are away at West Brom and would be hoping that Roy Hodgson is already thinking of the England job while his team is thinking about vacation time. If so, it could get easy for Arsenal. Else if West Brom decide to have a go at this back four anything can happen. Cheers! Ram

yeap Arsenal was a little lucky with the Tottenham result. On the other hand Newcastle had a hard match so they just didn't manage to have a result. Most of it I think it was a big missed opportunity for Tottenham this weekend.

I agree Tottenham were the big disappointment. But they were a touch unlucky as the goal was deflected shot and apart from that Aston Villa hardly looked like scoring. As far as Arsenal is concerned, I hope this time they take their opportunity with both hands. Cheers! Ram

spurs get the harddest effort from Aston Villa..and newcastle is unlucky..two goals of Yaya toure bury their effort for taking place of Arsenal.. and MU is sad because of bad result from Newcastle..

Yes, MU, Spurs and Newcastle fans were sad, though Man City and Arsenal fans were rejoicing. I think this all takes us to a grand finale last weekend of action next week. Can't wait for it!! Cheers! Ram

It seems like nobody wants the third spot. While Newcastle had a tough game against Man City, Arsenal and Tottenham have relatively easier ties. But none is able to capitalise on it. But this will means a nail-biting end to the season. The title is not quite yet decided, Champions League spot still to fight for, and the fight against relegation is still on. This just means a grand finale to the season.

Yes, both Arsenal and Tottenham must be kicking themselves. Had Arsenal won, they would have sealed the third place!! Had Tottenham won they would have moved to third place and both goofed up big time. Cheers! Ram
