My garden attracts several species of birds but it is amazing how they do not mix with each other. Here is a video clip that proves this. They will take their turn and frolic in the bird bath, play around trees, chirping away but cling only to their kind. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ttv5AEXV2I

Wow! I have just watched the video on my friend's desktop. It's really great.Birds have always been attracting me right from my childhood days.At that time there was a huge banyan tree at the nearby square and it housed thousands of thousands kinds of birds.Every morning I used to wake up early with their sweet chirping. As I grew older my love for birds increased. My nephew is a part time bird watcher and he has a lot of knowledge about these feathered creatures. He always gives a lot of information about his and mine avian friends.

Pigeons on our roof top - Every bird that visits us will flock together with their kind.
I am surrounded by several species of birds chirping away the whole day through. I have so many video clips on these lovely creatures. My garden is specially designed to attract birds with fruit trees, a lot of greenery and a bird bath. But it is so nice to watch them mixing only with their kind. Here is a picture of pigeons on our roof

I too was living in a Metro a few years ago in a concrete jungle! We opted out of it and here we are now in a quiet beautiful setting.

How beautiful! We are deprived of such divine surroundings due to lack of space.

It is interesting of this discussion that birds of a feather flock together. I could not find a better explanation about this, yet I am thinking that it might be their instinct to find their own species. Often I see birds of the same species flock together in our school woods. I have never seen a different species of birds playing together. This is really an interesting nature with so much for us to discover. Thanks for the discussion.

Birds are wonderful to watch and watching them eat from the food that I put into the bird house in the garden is fascinating and pleasureable at the same time. Even a pidgeon or two manages to sqeeze in now and then
