People have said that we were headed for a global catastrophic event many times in the past but this whole Mayan calander thing and aligning with the black hole at the center of the universe and all other 7 planets (and the planetoid Neptune) has folks freaked out! I have one friend who just bought himself a property because it backs onto Mount San Jacinto and has a cave on the property which he has installed a generator and exhaust line for and is wiring his cave for electricity and he's stockpiling water. Another couple that I know was just pouring the concrete for a bunker that they are building for them and their 3 kids. Let me tell you, if what they think is going to happen happens the last place they will wanna be is in a 30 by 25 foot bunker with a 7 year old, a 5 yeatr old, and a 1 year old. They will wish that God just killed them because if there is a catastrophic event they could be locked in down there for quite some time. I say if Nibiru is going to come flying by into our near orbit up one side of the planet and down the other raining down asteroids and radiation, guess what, I am going to be sitting on my roof watching the light show. It is something that no living human being has ever seen and a catastrophic global catastrophe would not neccessarily be something that I waould want to survive and then have to try to survive in the aftermath. Besides I am 37 years old and I am no longer a breeder so I certainly wouldn't be any help in bringing humanity back from the brink of destruction, and really doesn't that just sound like WAY to much work? What do you think, do you think we're going to be wiped out like the dumb dinosaurs on December 21st or no?If you don't know what I am talking about go google the date December 21 st 2012, catch up, then come back and offer your opinion. This is certainly something that could affect us all no matter where on the planet we are.

I am about 100% the world will NOT end in 2012.Especially not on 12.21.2012 because there is absolutely no reason it would. Yes,the Mayan calendar ends this year but come to think of it so does the calendar on my wall...The other thing that seems really fake to me is the date itself. There is no way the world will conviniently choose to end on such a date with so many numbers that are the same. And those are just the glaringly obvious reasons why the apocalypse won't happen. The reasons even a 10 year old kid can come up with. There is absolutely no science proof that there is a chance for the end in 2012.I personally believe that the doom of our planet will either come in thousands,if not millions of years or it will happen a long time from now due to the way humanity treats nature here.

Believe me,if scientists really thought the world would end they would be doing beyond the impossible to stop it.I can't see NASA discovering something proving the end of the world and just sitting there doing nothing.

I've read up on this event and I am stuck between belief and disbelief. Why would god put us here to torture us? Why would he waste his time in creating life and end up destroying it? Are there any proven facts that the sun will burn the earth or that the Mayans knew that the world would end on this day? No one really knows why the calendar stopped on December 21, 2012, people that are live today was live back then! There are a million reasons why the Mayans did not finish that calendar for instance, they could have run out of room on the calender, they got tired of that particular project and started something else. They where human too, maybe they felt it was a waste of time and they should enjoy life more. Technology is so advance, why want they prevent this from happening? I mean we could go on and on asking questions about this horrifying event. If it does happen there is nothing we can do but pray and come together as brothers and sisters trust our souls will be put into our Father's hands.

Not all life is wiped out about 90-95% of every living thing is wiped off the face of the planet, those who are smart enough to be prepared hunker down and survive, survive in the aftermath and here we are. If humanity has occupied this planet for over 50 thousand years then we have survived this thype of catastrophic event at least 12 times, and here we still are. Human beings are as tenacious as any parasite. If youu don't completely erradicate us we will eventually build the world and society back up into what it is now. Probably right around the time that Nibiru comes back for her encore swing through. God didn't create us to suffer but even in Christian belief systems he did create us to wipe us all out someday. All at once not on a slow wind down but a catastrophic "Now your living, now your not!" kind of way. Does Revelations not "predict" the same thing?

Well we knew as we entered 2012 the talk would increase on the 'end of the world' predictions. I believe our universe is changing...it's ever growing..and that we may feel some repercussion because of those changes...but not the end of this world. Actually the Bible does speak of a new heaven and a new earth...but doesn't go into detail if that means this one we know will vanish or be changed. Too heady for me to figure out! I've determined to live my life, enjoy those who are around me and deal with what 12-22-2012 will look like. :)
