I rewatched this again and i still loved it.. I was quite sad about the end but in a way happy for lester, that he had his freedom and he was happy and grateful for all the moments in his life. The story is Lester Burnham, tired of his life since his daughter and wife doesn't respect him anymore...gets attracted to his daughter friends and tries to "renew" himself to make himself likeable or something.

American Beauty was an excellent film to watch, Kevin Spacey was good in the film, the way the film narrated the story is what made me watch it.

yes..this is a well made drama.. and that dark daddy who shot the guy who he thought was having BJ from his son was really dark..

Yeah, I hated that guy who shot him, he was such a hypocrite- but it was well acted too. I really felt pity for the mother since she looked so sad and lifeless. I hope the couple who would go to NY would have a nice life though..

Maybe he was from the army.. that's why he's so strict and everything. I love that scene too, they were so caught in the act, and the look on their faces when it was Kevin who gave them their order.

I like this movie too, it is a good movie for the family and friends. And yes, although the ending was sad, i think the protagonist was happy, but i am also curious how the affected his family.

I am very curious about that too- but i think it is far to late to make a sequel since the time has passed, and all actors have moved on already.. But still, it'd be nice to see them together again, the cast.
