What methods do you find most effective for revision?

What methods do you use when you need to revise? Do you use flash cards or index cards? Do you write everything out in order to memorise it? Do you create mind maps? What do you find effective?

Hey there! I am currently a student myself here in Malaysia. How do I study? Well...I never study...hahaha. Actually i do, it's just that I do it in the last minute cause in a couch potato. Making notes is just out of topic cause that would just be too time consuming. I would usually buy revision books that comes with super duper short notes and just read those. I highlight important points which is usually like 5 lines in a page and just focus on those.
