Which do you prefer?

Do you do all your grocery shopping at a single all purpose grocery store OR do you prefer to go to a bakery for bread, a fresh market for produce and herbs, deli for meats and cheeses, and so on? I prefer to go to speciality places for my food but usually because of time constraints I shop at a grocery store or health food store. If I am cooking Asian or Indian I go to an Asian or Indian market to make sure I get authentic food products.

I will only go to one store per shopping trip. I will not run around here and there getting bits and pieces here and there. That is too much for me.

It is too much, but sometimes you can get better products and better prices if you shop at an asian market instead of buying asian items at the regular grocery store. And I do love the open air markets for produce and fresh baked bread.

I do the majority of my shopping at one large grocery store, but I also try to get to the farmer's market almost every week to get all my fresh fruits and veggies there. I like buying local produce at the market whenever possible, and when I do have to get it at a big grocery store I try to only buy things grown locally or in BC. I like to visit specialty shops occasionally, but it gets expensive so that's more of a rare treat.
