If the place I am going to visit is for my interest of archaeology or museums, I will prefer to go alone as I want to concentrate 100% on what I want to do there. I would not want to be distracted and having to give allowance to my traveling partner's needs. I feel being alone can be more convenient than having companions.

I always go travel alone, for I can not find a friend go with me.
To my own experience, go travel with a friend is a better choice than go alone. So that you can take care of each other, and talk on the road and share your feeling with your friends. If go alone, you can control your own time and expense, but when you get some great scenery, you have no one to share with. And in my own opinion, having meal together is also a very happy thing, while eat alone is not so good.

Meanwhile,it is such a good thing to make friends who you met on the trip. You could both share the experience and also go explore together.Maybe everybody would have met the situation like this.Anyway, people are not isolated and hopefully we are happy anytime.

Most of the time I traveled all alone.I used to be alone when travelling. There were time when I travel for pleasure then I would bring my mom with me then I have time with her.
But for most travel I used to be by myself.I just hope someone will go along with everytime but...

Yes, I will. I read somewhere else that traveling alone will help you to learn more about yourself. It will help you to gain more confidence.

These days I travel with my four year old disabled son and my two year old daughter. I used to travel alone a lot when I was a young person. I loved the independence of being by myself and found lots of friendly people to chat to on my route so I never felt lonely. I had a backpack so I kept my hands free. These days the Internet is around and it is wonderful to stay in contact with family and friends. I recommend having a high quality travel guide book. I love traveling to different countries and traveling with a disabled child is more challenging than it was in the past traveling on my own.

I take several roadtrips a year, usually about 1500 miles one-way. I always travel alone, unless I take one of my dogs. I love the driving time, being able to stop when and where I want, and travel as far as I want in a day. I do normally plan ahead to travel so many hours in a day, and make hotel reservations online, since you get better deals my making reservations ahead of time.

If i were to travel, i would like to do it with a companion. What good would the beautiful scenery you see as you go along, when there's no one to share your opinion on them.

We always need others to support and agree with us when comes to share beautiful things.I totally agree on this point and it's interesting when finding a person like this. Thus made our trip memorable,i suppose.lol, that's maybe the reason why people are live in group. Thanks again,my friend.

travel with friend is always been interesting activity for me. we can have great moment together to spend, memories and a lot of photograph. it's going interisting than having travel alone. but, travel alone may be suitable for certain type of vacation, for example you travel to recovery yourself from problem and you need time to enjoy some moment with yourself only..

I think traveling for a few days alone is beautifully freeing. You can do what you want, when you want, and not have to worry about running into anyone you know. It can also teach you how you cope with being completely by yourself in new situations. However if you travel for extended periods of time, I think it's easier to do it in a group. Not necessarily with friends, even just travel organizations, so the options of meeting people in the same situation as you is available and you won't become too lonely.

I have traveled both alone and with company and as you said there are pros and cons. Traveling alone can be very liberating. I allows you to do things that you don't normally do or you'd be embarrassed to do if you were with others. You can also do all the things that you want at your own pace, without having to consider the needs and concerns of another fellow traveller (like if they're already too tired, they don't want to visit that museum, etc. It also allows you to be more reflective. Being alone makes your more appreciative of your surroundings, you get to pay attention to what's around. And lastly, being alone allows you to open up more to others, may they be fellow travelers or locals. You get to interact more with them. Looking at the cons, safety is the first thing that comes to mind. Since you're alone you become an easier target for thieves or scammers. It can also get a bit lonely sometimes, though that can easily be remedied by becoming friendly with the locals.

I like to travel alone no matter where I go.This has been my nature.I like company while taking my meal or while studying or while attending a function. But I like to be alone when it comes to travelling somewhere. That way I enjoy travelling.Travelling with friends causes problems for me,because they are not likely to visit every place that I want to.So I have to give importance to their choice as well.
