Having big bellies can be dangerous to your health. In my case, I used to have a measurement of about 32 inches in my belly but when I gained about 8 pounds in the last 2 years, my belly measurement has reached 36. I may not have the biggest belly around, but the increase in my belly should be a sign for me to change something about my health habits. Do you have any good suggestions that would best reduce belly fats as fast as fassible? I mean possible? :D

I am going to be anti-cliche cos everyone who will answer you will say diet and exersise, This gimmick works for my girlfriend.... she decreased her appetite big time, dont sleep sidewards, and dont sleep lying on your stomach, lay on your bed with your back, in tagalog: (matulog ka ng nakatihaya) then put a pillow under your lower back, You will feel your stomach being stretched, this is uncomfortable at start but if you will get use to it and do this nightly, it will make your stomach smaller, making you get full faster. It decreases appetite.

Really? Is this something that has scientific value and has been proven many times to be effective? I'm really intrigued about this because it's the first time I ever heard of a way of reducing your tummy...although it seems there is some sense into it. I will check on it more and probably try it for a week, then I will tell you how it goes. Thanks for this info.

I agree about big appetites people have lose stomach. I have experienced it. When I was on my program in losing weights, I never felt hungry. But when I stopped the program last year, I have to struggle to keep my appetite. Now I'm gaining weights again. This is not about me being a woman so I don't feel comfortable with my body. No. I'm proud of my body. But getting fatter means getting heavier and lazier. That is so not cool. I think I have to get back to my program again. And about this sleeping with the pillow on our back. Does it really work? If it does then I might give it a try.

I would suggest to reduce bread at meals. Generally do not eat bread with meat or potatoes. Eat more salads and fruits. Do not forget vegetables of all kinds. You may also add to your diet herbal tea and green tea and many water. There are herbal teas that help burn the fat of the belly. Green tea helps to detoxification and getting slimmer. Practice any kind of exercise: running, walking long distances, cycling and even gardening. Sedentary life is not good for health. Involve yourself in any consuming activity, mainly physically.

I tried drinking herbal tea before and the name of the tea is kankunis. I am quite satisfied with it's effects but with one matter...it seems to weaken me physically so I don't feel very well after a few hours taking it, so I stopped. Green tea could be a much better choice for me.

Yes I can see we have the same problem, and I hope we can help each other out. I guess you're right that simply walking exercise won't help us much, but maybe something more rigid is needed for us...probably regular jogging and some people even said sprinting exercises are even more effective ( I have done this before a long time ago and they make me shed more pounds...but lately I get more lazy to try them out again ).I'm sure other mylot friends would give us more ideas...

Most the people I know that have large bellies are men. Most of them who have big bellies like that are men. Once they quit drinking their stomachs go down a huge amount. My fathers in laws stomach was like that of a pregnant woman but was much larger then mine even at the end of my pregnancies lol. He has quit drinking and its gotten down about half the size. Sometimes people just eat too much and dont exercise and their stomachs get big. I bought an exercise bike so I can try to get in shape and have my body be healthier. Jogging is also good and doing sit ups helps a lot as well.

I'm sorry to hear about your father in law. Is it possible he's really pregnant? I heard news about a pregnant man before...but I remember that newspaper I bought had a lot of crazy crap in them as selling point...lol. I believe you're right, we need a combination of exercise and right diet to be able to get rid of body fat. If we did only one of them, we are bound to fail.

No matter how the world turns around, it is still the proper diet and exercise which can give us flat stomach in a healthy way. I mean, yes, we can opt for liposuction but that is expensive and sometimes dangerous. Exercise such as sit ups and aerobics can be very helpful and combined with proper diet, it will be more effective. I am also trying to lose some fats in the belly and I am hoping for a fast outcome but I would rather patiently wait if it means I will be safe.

You mentioned about lipsuction and I was scared watching it on tv how it's done to patient. It looks like the patient is like a pig that is being slaughtered continuously by a long thin sharp sword...uggggh! I can't stand watching it for a longer time. So for me as well, there is nothing better and safer than the natural way of diet and exercise.

Belly fat is highly dependent on diet. Eat more lean proteins, and stay away from simple carbs. Eat complex carbs, with lots of veggies, and make sure you drink lots of water. If you don't drink enough water you can experience water retention will will make you look more bloated. Also doing crunches will not get rid of the fat, but it will help strengthen your stomach muscles, so when you eat your belly will not bulge out as much. I've read fitness articles that the best exercise to get rid of belly fat is to use the stair master, with running a close second.

I have heard about stair master a long time ago but didn't know anything about it...I would check that out. I think lately I haven't been drinking enough water, so I would start following your advice to drink more water. With situps or crunches, I have started yesterday and plan to do it about 3 times a week, or more if possible. Anyway, my biggest problem I think is how to get rid of the habit of drinking soda daily and if I did and eat more veggies and healthy food, I guess the change would happen faster. I will keep your advice and apply them for myself. Thanks!

I just eat rootcrops and have proper Muay Thai. The best way to get rid of belly bulges! Usually, Boxing is the fastest way to reduce not just the bulge, but the belly as well.

I have also heard somewhere that boxing does indeed reduce body fats and it would be easy to believe this by simply looking at the professional boxers and we can see how muscular and cut their body is. I guess if I have a punching bag, that would be a great start and punching on that bag daily could do the trick! I would start canvancing on punching bags in our place.

I agree and I'm glad that I really am in the right path by starting my exercise routine a week ago. Now hopefully I can continue with my better habits and give even more time and effort in my exercises. I'm actually incorporating aerobic exercises like jogging with light weight training.

The best way to get rid of big bellies is self discipline. It does not matter how much you work out at gym or food you refuse to eat. It is how you balance you daily living with leisure and work.

yes, I needed to put that into writing. I think it would help too if I put into writing my planned exercise routine so that it would be easier to follow them. Yep, there is time to work, play and also a time to exercise.
