If one want to start a business, you have to expend all the time to work, leaving little for family time.If you have a chance to establish business, will you be courageous face the problems that you won't have time anymore to stay with your family or play with your children or watch their performance in school?

Hi Xjian First, it is a misconception that when you start out with a new business, you have to expend all the time to work. There are many I know who are into business and still have time for almost everything... The adage - "It is the Busy who have the time" holds true for many. And those who say and do not have time are, in my opinion, a complete example of People who do not know how to manage things... and most of them are not going to be anywhere successful in business (again, my personal opinion).

Hey,thesids~ Yeah,I agree. People that are successful at businesses are usually the ones that know how to manage time. It's always about balance. Those who neglect families are usually the ones that don't know how to manage time(just like you said),or the ones that are workaholic. Have a nice day.

It depends on the business you go into, I've worked with owners and managed businesses that literally took 20 hours a day to run. Putting in orders, receiving shipments, working with clients, scheduling, paying bills, maintenance and repairs, inventory, people not showing up to work. Of course I also worked in industries that were running 20+ hours a day. Now the one company I did work for that was a little more on the schedule of the 8 hour work day. The owner did have a good deal of time to do things aside from work. I also have a friend who owns his business and only really works during business hours, but I think he put in about 16 hour days when he first started. Finally I had one friend who had an online business and never put a lot of time into it. So it can vary greatly. If you get an already going business or start an at home business you'll probably be okay. If you're providing a service to people, especially at night, you'll still have to do a lot of things during normal business hours and that can really take a lot of time.

I agree that a good manager in business can also manage the time and family well. But isn't that starting out a new business different with bening an executive in corporation? Pioneering requires more concentration ane more quickly responds.

I've read a few entrepreneurs' autobiographies and it seems to be the pattern that during the first few years of getting their businesses established, they're typically working all the hours they possibly can, leaving not much time for family life. The ones that make it often seem to have really supportive wives who are good at keeping their homes running while hubby's out earning the money to pay the rent. Obviously once you've got your business established you'd be trying to achieve a more sensible work/life balance, but when you're building things up you have to be prepared to sacrifice a lot.

I would rather work for more entrepreneurship. Ttttthat's what Im doing right now. I would rather stay away from my family and do better alone. They have always been a burden to me **so cruel for me though, what's the sense of saying that but that's my life situation right now** and are you familiar in the saying that when it comes to business, there's no family considerations. Putting up a business requires an undivided attention. You should put your guts and mind into it as you start one. Then you can do the multitasking part like taking care of your kids as it grows more. Happy mylotting about it more ^_^-)
