Do you feel unappreciated by your spouse/partner or family?

Do you ever feel this way? My husband doesn't appreciate all that I do. He rarely ever says thank you for anything because he says "it's my responsibility to do the things that I do." Yes I know that I have responsibilities and I take care of them but there isn't anything wrong with saying thank you. I think that we should say thank you to others when they do things for us. When we go to stores and the employee helps us out even though it's their job we still say thanks or that we appreciate their help. Why should it be any different with the family? I think that should be where it starts in the first place. We should show our family appreciation for the things they do even more so than complete strangers.

I know how you feel. I once argued with my husband about feeling unappreciated. I do a lot of things in the house, like all house works because according to him it is my job to run the house, and I didn't argue with that about it. He never say thank you to me at all.
