I like science fiction and fantasy, but I like to listen to audio books about other things, especially factual things like history.

I don't just sit and listen, I'm generally doing something - like driving a car... I used to listen and do my data entry back when I was still working full time.

I've been reading what I consider a pretty good variety as of late! I've been reading my usual fantasy novels, some devotional non-fiction and self-help non-fiction, a romance collection, and some sci-fi. I'm typically very attached to fantasy novels and I rarely strayed outside the genre the past few years. It's only since January that I've really forced myself to read more books in other genres. It's not really that I have anything against other genres, just that fantasy's my favorite and there are so many books in fantasy that I want to read. But I think I've been doing pretty good expanding my horizons as of late.

Some of my favorites are "The Last Unicorn" by Peter S. Beagle, the Unicorn Chronicles by Bruce Coville (I have a bit of a unicorn thing!), Magic Kingdom of Landover series by Terry Brooks, and the Books of Pellinor series by Alison Croggon. Those are all fantasy. I'm afraid I don't have too many sci-fi favorites I can name off the top of my head that you haven't heard of already. I'm really fond of the Hunger Games.

I like horror novels mostly. I've read a couple of non-horror ones recently. "Breaking Twig" was a very good novel, and very heartbreaking. And Stephen King's new one "The Wind Through the Keyhole" was great.

Breaking Twig is about a girl (whose nickname is Twig) who lives with an abusive mother. She is raped and terrorized by her step-brother and her own ally is her stepfather. It follows her as she grows up. Its really a heartbreaking book. Twig has a lot of hardships in her life. You think things are never going to go right for her. The Wind Through the Keyhole is actuall part of the "Dark Tower" series if you've read any of that. It can stand alone though, you dont HAVE to read the series to enjoy it. In it the main characters are stuck in a storm. To pass the time Roland, their leader, tells them 2 stories. One is a true story from when he was a young man and had to hunt down a skin-man (or shapeshifter). The other one is a fairy tale type story his own mother told him about a young boys quest to save his mothers life. The book is really a story within a story within a story, so you get 3 different tales in one book.

I like Horror, Sci-fi and fantasy for the most part, and some autobiographies here and there. I'm a big wrestling fan, so I've been reading a few of the wrestler's books lately. I'm also reading the Game of thrones series right now which is fantastic.

Hello there, I used to read a variety of books during my teenage years and into my twenties. However, whether work-related or due to interest, I have been more inclined to grab finance-related books. I read books on how to reduce debt (not that I have any, well, except for my mortgage), how to invest, how to make more money, etc. I have fun reading these books. Although after reading several books with different agenda and philosophies, I get utterly confused, but I began to be more selective and gather the types of information that would help me. If you are interested to read finance books, you can try Jean Chatsky and a few other writers who write about finance for women.

I like to read novels. I enjoy getting caught up in the story. Sometimes I read non-fiction to learn things. But, I don't enjoy it as much as I like fiction.

Me, too.. I get caught up in the story sometimes.. I laugh and cry because of a story i've read..Especially if it's really tragic, it makes me cry.. but i'm more of a non-fiction read, though.. I read stories like vampires and myths because i love hearing their adventures and all.. :)

I love reading all kinds of book, I am not really choosy when it comes to such. But recently tend to lean more on the graphic novels because I am loving beautiful illustrations. If you are interested, I suggest you check out Neil Gaiman's Sandman Series. Beautiful stories and beautiful graphics.
