mother's day food

for some reasons hubby cooked spaghetti and made this bread for mother's day.... well not exactly on mother's day as he cooked it on Saturday night hahaha! He knows i love spaghetti but then he didn't use the long spaghetti pasta but he used this elbow macaroni instead as we like the look that way and made some Filipino style spaghetti...
and made this bread which i find delectable as i know it had milk and butter in it...and it just goes with the pasta.
i know he did that for me, he was not just obvious

Yesterday is mother's day,I bought and cooked the seafood dinner for my mother.But my mother didn't eat it .She said"I have a cough,so I didn't eat seafood.You eat a bit more." Later,my father told me ,mother didn't have a cough,she hoped I can eat a bit more.This is my mother ,she alway gave me the best things.

My daughter treated me to a restaurant yesterday. Though , she's still in her medical studies and is on vacation right now, she said it's her turn to treat me, since she has been tutoring online this summer. 
Unfortunately,husband wasn/t able to come with us after we attended the 8 am mass , because he has was on the opening slot of their office.
At any rate, it was my day, not his.

She started tutoring last 2 years ago i think, whenever she's not busy in her studies. Like now, it's their summer vacation so she tutors at night, until 12pm.
So, she sleeps until 11am the next day also. 
But she enjoys it. Actually, we applied at the same time before. But i wasn't chosen, but she is because she's a UP student.
Lately, though she said that non-UP students can tutor already. And i saw my university from among their choice of schools. So she referred me and i reapplied.
I hope i could be taken in too this time. Somebody called me last Sunday from rarejob but it was cut due to poor signal. I tried to call, but it's already unattended. So , i followed it up today, as it is the 4th day already.
I keep praying i could be taken in, this time.

As a matter of fact, when I took my mom to my brother's cabin on the lake for 3 days this weekend, we went fishing a couple of days. My brother caught catfish when he and his wife went alone, so he surprised me and mom with fried catfish and hushpuppies. It was a real treat. He is the best at cooking catfish! No fish smell or bones to worry about!
My daughter had plans for me also, but I had to call her and tell her not to drive the hour to see me at Moms's because of the rainstorms we had been having for two days. Everything was about washed out. But it was the thought that counted. She came by and brought my precious grandson and a Mothers Day gift today.!

Special foods?

Okay yesterday is Sunday (oh yeah)
My usual weekends as the busiest days of my life (as always)
Start the day going to church.
And- attending meetings.
Honestly, no Mothers Day celebration for me yesterday due to hectic scheds.
But- Saturday night,my son prepare a hearty mango shake for me

Aww... that was so sweet of him! Oh, and happy mothers' day! that bread is french toast. Yumm... I guess he thinks you deserve pampering because you spend all your time on him and the kids!

BUt i think you do deserve it and you have to be surprise because he really made time for you to even cooked pasta. i don't know about his cooking skills though but i think he did it just fine, good enough to celebrate mothers day. good for you, have a nice day my friend

Before mother's day i have my list on what foods i will be cooking for my mother. But, because of financial shortage i choose the foods that is less expensive. I baked a cake for my mother and decorate it.I cooked her also Beef steak which she loves it.

My family didn't make me any special food for mothers day. I had to cook all my own meals today, even after I told hubby I wanted a pizza.
My mothers day supper was a bagel, and some cottage cheese.
I was very disappointed.

Hello Jazel, I also love Pasta Spaghetti, you're lucky that I wasn't there or else i would have been eating pasta too
. well, my mom treated every one for a fast food meal since she can't cook and doesn't have time to hire one because of this mother's day special but at least they were able to celebrate somewhere else.

At last... someone asked... whew!
I had all the food that I never want to eat cooked yesterday
Reason - I was upset and angry on me - it is so very hot here and on that there was a power failure for 6 hours (despite it being a sunday) and I had nothing to do, nowhere to go...
I am waiting for my wife to return - expected on 20th - I will cook goodies then... until then, it is all the boring one man food!

what did you cook? how come you never shared it? but then i would not eat it as foods cooked when someone is upset is not great
