QPR v Man City

Singapore

It was a pity seeing Queen Park Rangers losing their lead to the new Champions of the Barclays Premier League, especially when two of City's goals occurred during stoppage time. Should QPR have done more to defend their lead? Or was City too complacent in the first half of the match, unable to get through a stubborn QPR defence even when the latter was 1 man down after their captain's dismissal for violent conduct on the pitch? What are your thoughts?

Barton was the ultimate villain of the piece. Just when his team was beginning to fight back, he let them down big time. Of course, QPR continued bravely after that. But in the last few minutes they simply could not hold on any longer and fell at the last hurdle. Luckily for them Bolton had slipped up, thus saving their premiership status. Cheers! Ram

QPR was lucky to be staying in the league while Bolton, on the other hand, unlucky to leave the league. Bolton has been in the league for 11 years now and it was a disappointment to many when they crashed out of the league.

Yes and they had a real rough season last year. First the Muamba incident which really shocked the footballing world. Then they had shocking refereeing decisions in the final match which also cost that match. Cheers! Ram

Queens Park Rangers - They almost managed to send the title to the reds of Manchester, instead of the blues.
It had been expected. with 44 shoots on goal, Manchester City had ample chances to score. It was just the bravery of the QPR players and with a bit of luck that the match had to wait till the last few minutes to unfold the drama. Although I do feel that the QPR guys had done their best, if I dare to ask for more, it would be when they got the ball up the field, they should try to hold it a little bit longer and not just kicked the ball away, as in the very next minute, the Manchester City players would come with the ball again. It could have been 10-2. Nobody had expected what QPR did. It would have been a disaster for QPR if Bolton had won their own match against Stoke City. It was a wonderful performance of a lesser team dealing with a powerful juggernaut. They almost managed to send the title to the reds of Manchester, instead of the blues. Bravo QPR!

It was disappointing to see how QPR did not manage to hold their fort to the end. IT would have been an epic twist to the title race. Till today, I cannot understand how QPR led in two goals in stoppage time.
