Lately I am very interested to know if doing online work such as paid to post, paid to click, blogging ang creating customized website(harde programming) can really replace, or from salary point of view equate if not surpass my conventional job where i am already earning money that is enough for supporting my family. Yes I want to be my boss and it is what my heart is telling me to do but im hesitant to execute. What's your thought on this.

If you can get an online gig that will pay you sufficiently, and allow you to get out of the rat race, it would be beneficial. I know convention and tradition are what people respect when it comes to employment and careers; but I think providing for myself and mine, and eliminating stress is important. In this day and time when good, reliable jobs are scarce, sometimes you need to make a job. If your creativity allows you to do something online that changes your life and/or the world, you may find yourself to be known as a tech genius. Bill Gates and Steve Jobs did it. Good Luck.

I suppose were on same page reading one of Mr. Kiyosaki's book. Would it be Rich Dad Poor Dad? Well I'll br out of topic here but yeah its always been my goal to go out of the rat race but I must say Im on some cross roads where I may find the way out or find the way back or worst be on the the first steps. But its a good thing being compare to those great people as a start. Thanks.

That too is my worry. Today I must say that I have lots of incoming project but because I have a decent job I have to pend off some complicated part time jobs and/or ask my client if they are willing for a longer timeline which sometimes post problems when work demands more time and I can only spare a little, not to mention that I must spend quality time with my family. But yes you are right I must first be sure to love online work in mond and heart. Thanks.

Not without a whole lot of work. Writing on MyLot or article writing websites is unlikely to ever replace a full time job for someone, it requires a lot more determination and effort. If you ran your own, high traffic website or maybe had a shop on eBay or something then maybe, but I doubt you'd ever manage to do it using the websites most people seem to use to make money online. If you want to do it, it's definitely possible. It will require a lot of work, but if it's something you enjoy doing compared to whatever job you have now, then I guess it would be worth it.

If I decide to go for my choice of online works, Ill definitely take whatever it takes to make my website profitable. Im missing some point here, its not just writing online that Im considering, I am a skilled php programmer as well that os I think have a market these days, not to mention that in my work I handle java and oracle. So to clear things, I am not just into making website but a small IT company doing blogs, and making customized websites for startup companies orpersonalized website, web design and the likes. That includes my dream of creating animated movies. Yeah you are right im playing bill gates or zucherberg here.

This discussion is very right for me, I usually post many discussions about this topic, I think one should be very positive about making money, you should follow your heart how you want to do it, you may resign and do your job at home, and face the consequences, or you want to stick to your present job that is 9-5, I suggests if you want to try you can try online work for 3-4 months and see how it goes, if you earn more than your job offline, then I think you are right for doing online job. Just give it a try you won't know if you can succeed because successful people are taking initiative towards a goal.

Ill take your suggestion to do part time for a period of time until such time that I'm ready. Yes taking consequences is what makes it more difficult to decide. This is not a one day decision anyway. Thanks.

I do not think so that my job online can replace my job offline. I only earn meager amounts online and I think that I cannot depend on it even for my own needs alone, still it is insufficient.I just have 3 online jobs where I am working now. I will just buy learning materials online and for the rest of I will earn, I will spend it to buy a digital camera for myself. I just consider my online jobs as part time jobs. Now that I am in my vacation, I can always be online and work online to gain more money. I am now somehow a full time online job earner. When vacation is over, I will just do part time job online.

Now that you mention it, the more conviction to doing this as parttime still is the best option I can do until such time where the line of profit of online works and conventional job meets. Thanks.

It depends on the which Country you are from. I'm from India and in here 500$ per month would be sufficient for your needs and a lot of people in here don't even earn that amount from their regular job. So for me my online income is more than sufficient to replace my Day job as i earn way more than 500$ and the thing i love about earning online is my earnings just keep increasing every month. I love to be my own boss. The best thing is that if you use your brains and hang around in the scene for a couple of years then it's definitely possible to earn big on the web.

Thats what Im talking about. Im from the Philippines and I work on the largest telecom here on my country as software development analyst, needless to say I know some technologies that I may consider as edge and in the future be one of those guys who have made some fantastic innovations and become legend in their own way. Forgive my boasting a little bit as I want to explain to you more my situation. Hard part on this is I earn more than 500$ but I have only earn as much as 10$ on my entire online endeavor. Well as you said definitely worth a try but I have lots of work to do yet before I quit. I must surpass that 500$ mark, that would be my key. Thanks.

I don't think online job can replaced the offline job. It cannot be as high earning as we have virtually. I'm just considering that my online is a kind of fun and meet people in different races. Happy myLotting!

I read through this entire discussion. In my humble opinion, many people equate online work with income generating sources that do not make large enough quantities of cash to support life though it might help support there life style. I think we are really wanting to talk about a creating a business that focuses on computer technology and that kind of thing has been done successfully. I am not suggesting that I am very good at futuristic predictions but going to suggest that possibily, activity by independents (online) versus company employment methods (at job location) is not a switch or replacement for an individual but a merge only if it is possible to be done that way. Please ask if this is does not sound clear.

I don't think simple websites can replace a conventional job. Maybe if you had your own website with very high traffic it could earn you enough income but you will never earn a full income writing for random websites online.

Thanks. I agree. However, im considering that if ever I'll focus on writing and/or making website or optimizing my already created website to a possible income generating site, I would have a large amount of time to do it. But I do not know also if showing such dedication can put me where I want these websites. Would that worth a try? Because im done testing doing both. I cannot serve two masters at the same time, often times i have to choose work over my part time.
