Canon G12 one great camera

I bought a Canon G12 as a carry around camera. I took it to my granddaughters dance recital and was amazed at the pictures I got. I shot several from the back of the theater (50 to 75 feet from the stage) and they turned out great. All the shots were hand held using available light. I set the camera on the Auto setting and selected the ISO of 3200. I am amazed with what the little camera can do and I am learning more each time I use it. If you don't want to invest in a DSLR and have to carry the big camera around this is an excellent choice. I can carry it in my pants pocket, it is a little heavy for the pocket and a belt case works better. I have found it to be a great travel camera.
