they look awesome and play like a boss, so i want to ask u all, Do you think they can take this season to win the championship? the last lockout season the winners were the Spurs, and i think they can do it again, they play really well and i consider them a real Team, cause all players do their part and work to get the win.

hi dex0303. the spurs do look good after the first round of play-offs. they are well-rested and healthy. the spurs' big three of duncan, ginobli, and parker have been playing well and they are getting substantial contribution from their bench. of course, greg popovich is as good as any coach out there and the whole team knows that this might be one of their last runs to win a nba title. i really don't mind seeing the spurs in the finals but for the life of me, i doubt if they get past oklahoma (sorry los angeles lakers' fans, i'm already writing off kobe and the rest of that team after losing game two earlier.). history is on the side of the spurs as they won their first championship in a shortened nba season as well. i still think it'll be oklahoma city thunder and miami heat facing in the nba finals this year with miami winning the title in six games.

spurs just won in a come from behind victory in los angeles. they are now up 3 -0 against the clippers. i haven't seen a team pi$$ away a 20 point lead like the clippers did this game. spurs are showing the championship pedigree in this post season. they are the most fundamentally sound team. they are calm under pressure and at any given time, anyone from outside the big three of duncan, ginobli, and parker can deliver for this spurs team. their coach greg poppovich has a working system that the whole team adheres to. based on how the team is playing up to this point in the post season, the spurs might be our western conference champion and our eventual nba champions.

The Spurs can definitely win the Championship, especially since Chris Bosh is out of the lineup for the Heat. I think LeBron and DWade need Bosh on the floor to provide that "beast" element, and they just don't have it with Bosh out. Boston looks like they could win it too. I think the fact that they are veterans and have been here before may help them in the long run. Can't count the young teams out though. That being said, Greg Popovich is a Boss, and he is not playing around when it comes to winning basketball games. He expects EXCELLENCE from his team at all times. He can take the Spurs all the way because the Spurs play textbook basketball. Not a lot of flash or a lot of flourish, just a-b-c, 1-2-3, basketball. Like Kenny Smith said on TNT on Tuesday night, the Spurs are SURGICAL when it comes to playing basketball.

Herro HomeBase Never thought of Pop that way, however u are on target...My Spurs are on a well-earned roll...I think we will all the way this year, however like u, don't discount anyone... At this point the Clippers are feeling our style. I'm thrilled that we came from so far behind and made it 17wins... And yet, I am aware that as each level is climbed, our strategy will change...Two sweeps do not a Championship make...We have to carry it all the way... Prosperous mylotting San Antonio Spurs TexLadyPj

The Spurs are a great team and have the right personnel to win the championship. I think they will be in the NBA Finals against the Miami Heat. I think the Miami Heat have just too much firepower for the Spurs. With Lebron and Dwayne playing well, they are pretty much unstoppable.

I think the Spurs are the most healthy team in the league, even though there are 3 superstars there none of them seems to be a "bragging" player but all they care is for the team to go as high it can get. When a team has such mentality I think there are always big chances for them to get the league. They are not the favorites though in my opinion but they are a team deserving to win a spot in the final 4 teams.

They are definitely a contender and are doing exactly what they need to. They are all business on the court. When they have an opponent on the ropes they finish them off. Their stars are aging but they are at this point playing the minimum number of games. I think they are positioning themselves to take it all. I think the biggest threat they face is the Thunder. There are other teams that can match up with them in the Lakers, Celtics and Heat. Lakers haven't been coming to play every night. If they don't smarten up the Spurs won't have to worry about them. The Heat are really missing Bosh and they have to not only get out of their current series without him but they might not have him in top form for the final. Without him a lot of pressure is on Lebron and Wade. They are playing too many minutes and it shows already against Indiana. The Celtics are in a dogfight with the Sixers. I think their veterans are playing too many games leading up to the final. Yes, right now the Spurs are looking pretty darn good.

I don't think that the Spurs can do it this year. The Thunder are too talented at such a young age and I see no reason why the Thunder would not go all the way.

I'm not sure the Thunder are ready to take it all. The Spurs have experience in spades and are not afraid to play dirty. Should be an interesting series.

Wow... What a variety of comments, each with it's own merit. We do have two strong lines that can substitute and play with the the primary "Big Three". Don't discount That we picked up two players that were languishing on their old teams and have started to blossom with the Spurs... We shall wait n See... Let's see, sweep 2 with Clippers. However two sweeps don't Champions make...Staying strong and playing each game on it's own merit...

well, popovich always finds the way to train great players in that team, if u see for example Tony Parker, he was nothing when he entered the league, and no one thought he could became what he is now, also and the best example is Ginobili, he was the Last pick in the draft, and now he's one of the best, but also understimated, like the spurs have always been, at the eyes of the public i think

Since the beginning of the season I knew the Spurs would try to win it this year. Pop likes short seasons. Remember 1999. I hope they don't win it though. Poor Lebron James, 3 time MVP, deserves to win the championship. Hope he does. And if he doesn't, maybe he'll never win it, like Charles Barkely and the others.

They could but they won't. It's an even numbered year. The Spurs only win during odd years [1999, 2003, 2005, 2007]. Kidding, but seriously, this might be their last best chance to win it all again before Duncan fully slows down and Manu Ginobili's aches and bumps catch up to him.

Probably right on this one. I think this is this teams final kick at the can. They look like they can do it. Won't be easy though. They have to get through the Thunder now and whoever comes out of the east will be tough as well.
25 May 12
yes the spurs can do it to championship, but on the west championship only not on the title. coz there a reigning team in east which is the miami heat. i believe that even though they have a big three star player, they can make a way how to be as one in the game specially for the east final up to the nba title this year.

the spurs are a hell of a team... and i believe that they will win the championship again this year....the east is a toss up right now but whoever wins out of the east doesnt stand a chance against the spurs..they are a real team they play together the are not a bunch of superstars put on one team...they are acutally a unit and that is what win championships..
