I just saw this trailer of 180 and then some people were asked who he was.. and some had no idea about him.. Others knew enough. but there were these two guys who thought he was amazing and even denied the Holocaust ever happened. I can't believe that some people admire him and also believe what he believes. That Jews are evil and German race is supreme.
He killed millions of innocent people, men, women, children! EVen buried them alive- people should not forget that and learn to treat all people as equal.

Here's something rather scarily depressing and this really goes to show you the extent people will go to bury the absolute worst of us. There was an uproar about what to teach children about the Holocaust around here not too long ago. Some people got rather upset about doing anything that scared children, not telling them the full extent of the horrors that happened. That's how PC we've got in recent years, where people are calling to water down the teachings of important historical events, because it might rather scare children and because someone might get offended.
Back to the matter at hand, history has really softened its stance on a lot of people that would rather be horrifying monsters. Then again, there have been some tyrants in recent history that have been compare to Hitler and he does seem to really be the go to person to compare anyone to, when any kind of oppression happens. Then again, history is being rewritten every day to be more fluffy, to protest us from the horrors of reality. You just wonder how much will be white washed out of history, and downplayed due to it offending someone's delicate sensibilities in a hundred years.
In the end, we don't want to acknowledge a lot of things, because we try to sweep the worst that humanity is capable of right under the rug. Any qualities that Hitler had might have been decent have been completely invalidated by the horrors of the Holocaust.

I think the children should know about the Holocaust, but not all of it at such a young age..just a little bit of the truth.. And when they get older, they should teach them the entire truth, everything since they can already take it and understand it at a certain age.

Hello Lady, Hitler was great leader for the german people. though he had a good vision of a good and prosper germany he had a huge bad side. his past of dealing with people and hating the jews, has given a bad impression and take the jews out of the equation of the German people. his mistake was exterminating jews and invading europe. too bad the leader was insane in the end.

You should read his book, "Mein Kampf", to verify if "he had a good vision", but prepare yourself to a frightening experience and to some nightmares : it is a digest of the worst you can find about revanchism and racism. In fact, it is so untenable to read that all the official translations made by his own editor have been expurgated and moderated.
