yesterday i was clerking a 28 year old female patient from a surgery ward.she was complaining of only sweating and physical examination shows no finding.we have done thyroid function test and it was normal.what could be the diagnosis or differential diagnosis for this patient?

I have no idea. Sweating was her only sympton?? What exactly is "clerking"? Is it like nurse assistance?

She might just be under a lot of distress or she is having problems at home. Maybe she was having a fever or symptoms of a fever before she actually got the fever.

maybe you should of told her if she was sweating that she not dress with a lot of clothes on, or maybe she had a infection of some kind. she may need a blood test. sweating after surgery is sometimes normal. She also could be having a hot flash. Maybe if she speaks to her dr he can tell her whats wrong. what kind of surgery did she have?
